Studies have demonstrated that the supplementation of oligosaccharides and Lactobacillus has potential to alleviate food allergies. In this study, gastrointestinal tolerance adhesion properties three anti-allergic strains were evaluated in vitro. Subsequently, five incubated with each selected strain determine which combination could significantly promote proliferation. The ability Lactobacillus-oligosaccharide combinations intervene allergic responses was assessed using a bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs) splenocytes co-culture model. results indicated Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (Lp) exhibited significant resistance acidic conditions, bile salts, pepsin trypsin, as well excellent hydrophobicity, auto-aggregation, antioxidant properties, Caco-2 adhesion. Moreover, Lp co-cultured fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS) produced higher levels short-chain fatty acids. Furthermore, Lp-FOS suppressed expression surface markers CD40 CD86 on BMDCs. Additionally, DCs-splenocytes model revealed upregulated percentage Th1 Tregs, downregulated Th2 Th17 cells, release pro-inflammatory cytokines. Overall, study highlights functions synbiotic Lp-FOS, will provide theoretical basis for intervention allergy by dietary supplement.
