The groundwater (GW) of Bangladesh is predominantly contaminated with arsenic (As) and iron (Fe) which has a bad impact on human health. We tried to remove these elements easily available mahogany-fruit (Swietenia mahagoni) husk charcoal (MHC) banana (Musa acuminata) peduncle (BPC). trial was implemented 3 replications throughout the research. sampled GW contained 0.06 mg As L-1 4.83 Fe L-1. Firstly, pH 3, 5, 7, 9 250 dose. MHC removed almost 91.05% at 5.0, BPC 86.67% 9. However, in case Fe, 100% 7 9; same quantity Secondly, contact times were 0, 10, 20, 40 minutes dose 7.0. maximum removal 5 minutes. pseudo-first-order kinetic, pseudo-second-order intra-particle diffusion models considered. result showed that rate adsorption followed kinetic model. Lastly, adsorbent doses 50, 150, 250, 350 At highest 79.47% for MHC. Similarly, values 79.29% BPC, indicating are good heavy metals removal.

Nostoc sp. is a cyanobacterium identified in several localities of Ecuador, and it exhibits significant potential the pharmaceutical, food, environmental sectors, which urges exploration its possible applications country. Macrocolonies were collected at different seasons, content metals, sulfur, biochemical composition was analyzed according to altitude geographic position. The results showed that average carbohydrate corresponds 30.34% dry biomass, 27.38% ash, 25.33% protein, 7.66% crude fiber, 0.71% fat. Regarding metals elements, found Aluminum presented highest value 2049.23 mg/kg, followed by 1786.74 1364.08 443.12 mg/kg Fe, Mg, S, respectively, with lowest for Cu, Ni, Pb, Cd 7.34 5.62 3.99 0.74 mg/kg; respectively; following descending order: Al>Fe>Mg>S>Cu>Ni>Pb>Cd all sites sampled regardless period rain or drought. Consequently, adsorb these elements from environment preliminarily demonstrated, showing could be used bioremediation contaminated soils waters an essential bioindicator pollution. Light is a critical factor influencing algal growth and contributes to the uptake of metal elements by algae. However, impact light on bioavailability transformation heavy metals requires further exploration, particularly in context bioremediation efforts. This study explores how varying intensities (1000, 2000, 3000 lux) influence ability these algae absorb Cd, distribute it within cells, transform Cd (II) into CdS NPs. By using ICP-MS, was found that increasing intensity 2000 lux could increase capacity Dunaliella salina Phaeodactylum tricornutum 28 % 14 %, respectively. Changes percentage each component (medium, intracellular, adsorption cell surface) with different supported interpretation cells result increased cellular accumulation. Further analyses HRTEM-EDS SEC-ICP-MS showed not only influenced size NPs but also significantly enhanced algae's efficiency transforming Cd(II) It ratio D. P. 16 52 respectively, after 10 days exposure under intensity. These findings underscore significance as an environmental algae, profound implications for its application bioremediation.
