Arquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria (ANP) was first published in 1943, at a time when very few publications worldwide were dedicated to Neurology. This made possible entirely due the unwavering dedication of its founder, Dr. Oswaldo Lange.[1] As result, has been representative Brazilian neurology, imparting it with singular and authoritative voice. The efforts promote neurology on global scale are evident years following, as demonstrated by publication distinguished international authors.[2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

Introduction: Spectrum neuromyelitis optica has been an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system that presents challenges in both diagnosis and treatment. The complex pathophysiology, together with varied clinical manifestations, makes its management especially critical. Therefore, present study focused on describing analyzing spectrum optica, by focusing presentation therapeutic options. As well as understanding medical practice.Method: A descriptive bibliographic review current literature NMOSD was carried out, covering studies strategies used. Results: Severe demyelination observed to be mediated antibodies against aquaporin-4, leading significant axonal damage. Acute therapies, such intravenous methylprednisolone plasmapheresis, long-term treatments, mycophenolate mofetil rituximab, have shown efficacy managing disease. Furthermore, early appropriate treatment turned out essential improve patients' quality life. Conclusions: research highlighted need for a multimodal approach NMOSD. combination treatments continued develop new options are advance

This article explores the role of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in neurology practice, particularly diagnosing and monitoring conditions such as papilledema, optic neuritis, retinal artery occlusion. OCT has been increasingly utilized a noninvasive effective tool for detecting neuroaxonal damage visual pathway, which is important early intervention improved patient outcomes across variety neurologic conditions.
