This research aims to develop a conceptual framework and propositions establish test the causal relationships between Industry 5.0 readiness (I5.0R), global value chain (GVC) participation, business competitiveness (BC), sustainable growth (SBG) of small medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). study focuses on readiness, evaluated through human-centricity, fairtrade practices, lean management, sustainability competitiveness, measured by marketing, resources, production, finance. Both constructs were developed tested as higher-order constructs, while GVC participation assessed lower-order constructs. Data collected from marine food processing SMEs in Thailand using purposive sampling technique. confirmed content validity, construct reliability both lower models. Using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with bootstrapping (n = 1000), results indicated significant positive impacts SMEs. Additionally, was found mediate relationship growth. These findings contribute literature 5.0, GVCs, SME offering practical insights for policymakers aiming enhance strategic practices. The implications directions further are presented.

The purpose of this paper is to explore adaptation-based and stability-based views supply chain resilience analyse what insights these different perspectives, individually collectively, offer for theory practice. In the view, triggered by disruptions performance deviations return some 'normal' states. This view accounts known-known uncertainty. shifts focus from avoiding oscillations recovering stable states toward proactive adaptation persistence. aims at designing structurally adaptable networks with process flexibility actively used redundancy. It considers value-creation perspective accounting unknown-unknown uncertainties. Stability-based approach as an outcome or quantity. Adaptation-based a property quality. The metaverse and Web 3.0 have created a new digital world with specific properties behaviours replicating influencing the processes of physical entities. This study aims to advance our understanding how will impact supply chain operations management (SCOM). Using elements structured literature search building on concepts cyber-physical systems, twins, cloud chains, Industry 4.0/Industry 5.0, we propose framework for SCOM encompassing multiple socio-technological dimensions. We conclude that further developments could result in co-existence SCOM, coordination worlds. offer future research agenda pointing questions topics stemming from metaverse-driven visibility, computational power data analytics, collaboration, connectivity. New areas can emerge novel decision-making (e.g. joint demand forecasting products, inventory allocation metaverse, integrated production planning worlds, pricing contracting products), as well performance measures virtual customer experience level, availability resilience sustainability).

Our research strives to examine how simulation models of logistics systems can be produced automatically from verbal descriptions in natural language and human experts artificial intelligence (AI)-based collaborate the domain modelling. We demonstrate that a framework constructed upon refined GPT-3 Codex is capable generating functionally valid simulations for queuing inventory management when provided with explanation. As result, model could produce process control. These results, along rapid improvement models, enable significant simplification development. study offers guidelines design processing-based on build automatically, given description. Information sharing in supply chains can be challenged by privacy concerns. Equating data and information, the existing literature primarily focuses on incentivisation behind information between firms.
