Abstract Rapid advances in the development of nanotechnology recent years have led to functional magnetic nanoparticle types (MNPs) with different properties. The diverse applications these nanoparticles make them a desirable candidate for use biomedical areas due their exclusive chemical and physical present work is conducted study vitro biocompatibility CoFe 2 O 4 @shell surface coatings (shell: ascorbic acid (AA), dextran (DEX), polyethyleneimine (PEI). cytotoxicity coated screened toward glioma cancer line (C6) fibroblast cell (L929) using an MTT assay. NPs are synthesized co‐precipitation method together hydrothermal synthesis characterized regarding structural properties state‐of‐the‐art techniques. Results showed particles consistent crystal structure average crystallite size range 16–18 nm. For NPs, only slight increase Hc found except @PEI NPs. comparative analysis cytotoxic effects on L929 cells shows that samples much more specific brain tumor cells, especially it also indicates significant efficacy cells.
