Health communication is one of the crucial fields contemporary research, especially in post-Covid-19 epidemic era. In last decade (2013-2022), however, no bibliometric performance analysis health (HC) overall has been conducted.To investigate research HC, including different countries/regions, institutions/groups, authors, journals, areas, as well status collaboration and funding support. On January 25, 2023, a search for topic terms article sources was carried out using Web Science Core Collection. Then, duplicate data were removed, manual screening process implemented. Bibliometric indicators selected. Finally, collection, analysis, graph performed Excel 2019 Origin 8.5.The quantity publications HC steadily risen from 2013, experienced rapid growth after 2019, whereas these publications' impact on decline. The articles are predominantly situated within social sciences, medicine, environmental science, science technology, areas benefit highest level financial USA continues to hold an absolute leadership position productivity, reflected preponderance prolific institutions authors affiliated with USA. Additionally, among top productive18 half OA, importantly, their h-indices tend be par non-OA journals. At last, between widespread, degree international relatively low. Bilgi dolaşımının hızlı ve bilgi hacminin büyük olduğu günümüz medya ekosisteminde habere konu bilginin doğruluğu farklı araçlarla sorgulanmadan dolaşıma girmektedir. Bu durum da ekonomik, sosyal, siyasi kültürel olmak üzere pek çok sorunu beraberinde getirmektedir. Özellikle kriz dönemlerinde toplumsal sorunlara neden olabilmektedir. Sosyal platformlarının erişimde birincil kaynak haline gelmesi haberde yanlış bilgiyi yalan haberi ayırt etmeyi, çeşitli kaynaklardan sorgulama doğrulama yetisine sahip olmayı, yani haber okuryazarı olmayı gerektirmektedir. Haber okuryazarlığının temeli izleyici/okuyucu/dinleyicinin eleştirel düşünce olmasıdır. araştırmada okuryazarlığıyla ilgili literatürü inceleyerek alanyazındaki eğilimi ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Veri toplama aşamasında “news literacy” anahtar kelimesiyle arama yapılmış, 124 makaleye ulaşılmıştır. Web of Science veri tabanından elde edilen veriler, bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle incelenmiş Vosviewer haritalama programıyla görselleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada okuryazarlığı alanyazınındaki mevcut çıkarabilmek amacıyla ortak yazarlık, atıf, bibliyografik çift, eşleşme, kelime özette kullanılan kelimelerin analizi yapılmıştır. Alanyazında okuryazarlığına ilişkin çalışmalar iletişim alanı temel sosyal bilimlerin disiplinlerinden beslenerek ilerlemektedir. Bilgiyi sorgulamaya yönelik çalışmalarda artışı getirmiştir.
