ABSTRACT Background ChatGPT, as a cutting‐edge technology in education, is set to significantly transform the educational landscape, raising concerns about technological ethics and equity. Existing studies have not fully explored learners' intentions adopt artificial intelligence generated content (AIGC) technology, highlighting need for deeper insights into factors influencing adoption. Objectives This study aims investigate higher education adoption towards AIGC with focus on understanding underlying reasons future prospects its application education. Methods The research divided two phases. First, an exploratory analysis involving practical activities interviews develops action decision framework Second, confirmatory using fuzzy‐set qualitative comparative 233 valid questionnaires identifies six configurations associated high intentions, emphasising roles of AI literacy perceived behavioural control. Results Conclusions reveals key adoption, including importance It provides actionable educators learners prepare effectively integrate ensuring equitable adaptive practices.

This study explored the impact of MetaClassroom, a virtual immersive programming learning environment designed based on three-dimensional progression (3DLP) concept, students’ multidimensional development. Utilizing quasi-experimental research design, this compared achievements (PLA), self-regulated (SRL) skills, beliefs, and motivation in MetaClassroom with those traditional classroom settings. The findings revealed that significantly enhanced PLA SRL particularly subdimensions including Metacognitive Skills, Persistence, Seeking Help. Additionally, positively impacted beliefs motivation, demonstrating its potential optimizing knowledge acquisition, application processes, fostering higher-order thinking skills. By integrating 3DLP concept into targeted environments, created an innovative ecosystem, bridged theory practice, offering students comprehensive engaging platform to develop both foundational practical not only validated effectiveness improving performance experience, but also introduced new paradigm integrated teaching, learning, assessment. offers insights directions for education broader educational practices, paving way future developments technology.

ABSTRACT In the context of globalization, Tibetan students’ second language (L2) communication skills are crucial to allow effective intercultural and personal development. To better understand promote willingness university students communicate in their L2, this study adapts theory planned behavior (TPB) by introducing concept “language growth mindset (LGM)” replace original model's “Attitude (ATT)” component conjunction with L2 motivational self system (L2MSS). This mixed methods utilized structural equation modelling (SEM) for quantitative analysis NVivo open coding qualitative interview data. The participants were 409 from four universities China. Data collected using questionnaires in‐depth interviews. SEM model validated applicability TPB L2MSS explaining an (L2WTC). findings indicate that (a) a comprehensive based on can explain 52.9% variance L2WTC; (b) LGM, Ideal Self (IS), Ought‐to (OS) positively influence (c) perceived behavioral control (PBC) impacts while subjective norms (SN) do not affect LGM; (d) LGM does mediate relationship between SN OS.

Published: Feb. 11, 2025

Abstract Despite the growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in language education, limited research has explored its impact on emotional regulation and vocabulary retention, particularly English as a foreign (EFL) contexts. This study addressed this gap by comparing effects Bing ChatGPT environments interpersonal emotion (IER), behavioural strategies (BERS), hopelessness retention among 458 upper‐intermediate Chinese EFL learners. Participants were divided into three groups: Bing, control group (CG) receiving traditional instruction. Both AI‐supported groups engaged with identical content tasks their respective platforms, while CG followed conventional curriculum. A mixed‐methods design was employed, incorporating quantitative pre‐ post‐tests qualitative semi‐structured interviews. The one‐way ANOVA results revealed that both AI significantly outperformed across all measures, no statistical difference between groups. learners conditions reported reduced improved IER BERS, alongside notable retention. In agreement results, findings highlighted engaging supportive nature environments, which led to IER, BERS These suggest integrating tools like classrooms can enhance well‐being acquisition, offering valuable pedagogical insights for educators seeking leverage technology
