In this work, we investigated the effect of natural phytoregulators (i.e., methyl jasmonate and abscisic acid) on quality physicochemical parameters, carotenoid anthocyanin content antioxidant activity purple carrots in storage at 5 °C for 21 days. As a result, study evolution fresh-untreated exhibited increase carotenoids (from 1.41 to 3.79 mg EβC g−1 DW) stability anthocyanins (2.18 vs. 2.23 ECGg−1 but significant loss organoleptic quality. Treatment with acid resulted similar or even higher (1.61 2.15 DW acid, respectively) as compared value measured before (1.41 DW). contrast carotenoids, mostly decreased treatments. However, parameters indicating improved considerably, which was meaningful considering their importance terms consumer acceptance. These results reflect slowing-down spoilage over storage. Optimization approach is scheduled minimize losses. It can therefore be an interesting extending carrot shelf-life no need artificial preservatives.

In recent years, the sustainability of cosmetic products has received growing interest from industry and consumers due to recommendation implementation circular economy European Green Deal. The sustainable development strategy takes into account reduction waste energy consumption, covers all processes producing using cosmetics, starting method obtaining raw materials, through process cosmetics bulk, selection packaging. Particularly, materials a large impact on emulsion. One way resource recovery is use agro-food by-products discarded produce because most them possess value-added bioactive compounds, such as enzymes nutrients with high functionality. Their may be performed by more extraction processes, leading natural oils, extracts, polymers, phytosterols, vitamins, minerals, unsaturated fatty acids. A relatively new innovative form designing bioavailable fermentation, where bioferments are obtained plant-based food materials. addition, optimization emulsification applying low-energy methods crucial step in cosmetics. This allows not only carbon footprint, but also preservation valuable properties used following paper discusses creating emulsions energy-saving procedures fermentation process.

ABSTRACT Cerebral palsy (CP) encompasses neurodevelopmental disorders affecting movement and posture, arising from nonprogressive brain damage during prenatal, perinatal, or postnatal periods. Diagnosis typically occurs between ages 3 5, with symptoms including abnormal muscle tone impaired motor skills. CP's etiology is diverse, ranging genetic predispositions to perinatal complications, often exacerbated by poor nutrition. Management requires a multidisciplinary approach involving neurologists, therapists, surgeons, psychologists, social workers address impairments co‐morbidities like epilepsy, cognitive deficits, sensory impairments. Neurological rehabilitation, primarily through physical occupational therapies, forms the cornerstone of CP management. Addressing feeding difficulties, common in CP, necessitates enteral parenteral feeding, each potential complications. High‐calorie formulas offer promising strategy combat undernutrition improve outcomes. Research also explores benefits natural compounds kaempferol resveratrol, though further investigation needed.

Agricultural waste from the fruit and vegetable industry is used as an alternative source of animal feed, but detailed investigations are required. The aim this work was to conduct a physico-chemical characterization, through analytical techniques, wastes such those golden apples, red carrots, celery, beetroots, potato peels. bioactive compounds in samples indicated high carbohydrate content 50.38 g/100 g apples 59.38 mg/100 organic acids celery. In addition, total phenolic (TPC, mg gallic acid equivalent/g dry weight) varied between 3.72 celery 15.51 beetroots. antioxidant capacity values were significant. A thermal analysis showed stability weight loss, underscoring composition solid samples. An infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) C-H, O-H, C=O, N-H functional groups non-starchy carbohydrates, acids, proteins. Microscopic techniques revealed microstructure, particle size, semicrystalline profile ultrastructure (determined via atomic force microscopy (AFM)) consisted smooth uniform surface with lignin cellulose texture. These results highlight importance essential nutrients for feed.

Fortification of bakery products with plant-based functional ingredients has gained interest in recent years. Low-cost fruit and vegetable waste been proposed to replace wheat flour, but less research conducted on gluten-free flours. Rice is generally accepted as a alternative flour poor bioactive constituents; thus, the addition vegetable-based could improve nutritive value products. In present work, IV-range carrot powder (CP) was incorporated into rice-based muffin formulations different proportions (5, 10, 20, 30% w/w). The impact CP physicochemical antioxidant properties evaluated blends, doughs, baked Products were also terms water activity, hardness, colour before after one-week storage period under fridge conditions. results showed that oil absorption capacities increased blends addition, whereas pasting affected when adding CP. Rheological measurements revealed an increase G’ G’’ modulus values addition. Colour significantly modified by since provided orangish brownish colour, due intensified Maillard reactions during baking. Muffin hardness reduced enriched compared control ones, which attributed fibre being It confirmed improved both muffins, higher replacement, better properties. quality muffins hindered one week stored cold conditions, so affected, increased, diminished. conclusion, this work presents interesting approach for use food ingredient nutritional new thus contributing circularity systems development healthier more sustainable diets.
