This study aims to review and analyze factors associated with suicidal ideation provide a rationale for subsequent effective interventions. Data from this were obtained the Assessing Nocturnal Sleep/Wake Effects on Risk of Suicide (ANSWERS). The University Arizona evaluated 404 young adults aged 18–25 years using different scales. Then, general demographic data was recorded. An elastic network (EN) used optimize feature selection, combined logistic regression, determine influencing SI in adults. EN regression retained 11 potential nonzero coefficients. In multivariate analysis, INQ-15 perceived burdensomeness (PB) scores (OR: 1.10, 95% CI: 1.04–1.17), CESD depression mood 1.16, 1.07–1.26), age 0.72, 0.55–0.94) significant SI. is first use an Elastic Network model assess affecting Perceived Burdensome, depression, play important risk role are best predictor combination adults, being most factor. Changes in social zeitgebers across the lifespan affect interaction between biological and clocks, potentially contributing to jetlag. Extant literature suggests a reduction jetlag given declining obligations occurring after retirement, but is limited self-reported methods cross-sectional designs. Leveraging longitudinal ecologically valid data from consumer sleep technology, we analysed objective 2439 users of polysomnography-validated SleepScore mobile application, encompassing 500,415 total nights recorded. We examined relationship age as continuous variable, proxy for retirement status, Additional linear models were employed assess effect chronotype, average reported daily caffeine, alcohol stress on There was significant negative association overall (β = -0.64, t -9.90, p < 0.001, size 0.040), such that every 1-year increase corresponded with 0.64-min The inclusion stress, caffeine increased explanatory power our slightly, remained consistent -0.642, -8.91, 0.046). Retirement-aged individuals exhibited nearly 50% less than pre-retirement (30.6 ± 48.2 min versus post-retirement: 15.8 41.6 min, 0.0001). While most pronounced strong evening chronotypes -0.41, -2.876, 0.004, -0.4276), pairwise comparisons revealed no statistically differences slopes (p > 0.05). Thus, decreases lifespan, its appears be amplified post-retirement even accounting behavioural factors.

Objective: To evaluate sleep continuity, timing, quality, and disorder in relation to suicidal ideation attempts among college students. Participants: Eight hundred eighty-five undergraduates aged 18–25 the southwestern United States. Methods: Participants completed questionnaires on sleep, suicide risk, mental health, substance use. Differences variables were compared by lifetime recent using covariate-adjusted stepwise regression models. Results: A total of 363 (41.0%) individuals reported ideation, whom 172 (47.4%) last 3 months 97 (26.7%) had attempted their lifetime. Sleep disturbances prevalent those with or a attempt. Insomnia was identified as best predictor but this relationship did not survive adjustment for covariates. Conclusions: disorders are broadly associated thoughts behaviors
