IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is related to the balance of gut microbiota. However, it unclear whether changes in microbiota can cause IgAN or attenuate its progression. This study employed and human microbiota-associated (HMA)-IgAN models investigate impact on alteration mechanisms by which might trigger IgAN. Furthermore, this examined effects chitooligosaccharides (COS) COS formulation (COSF) with microbiota-targeting function enhancing intestinal barrier renal functions. These results revealed that led a reduction α-diversity structural alterations microbiota, characterized an increase Shigella sonnei, Streptococcus danieliae, Desulfovibrio fairfieldensis, decrease Bifidobacterium pseudolongum Clostridium leptum. There was also imbalance B-cell immunity level tight junction proteins (ZO-1 Occludin). Intestinal mucosal immune-related (Clostridium leptum, unclassified Lachnospiraceae NK4Al36 group, Clostridia vadinBB60 Oscillospiraceae, Roseburia) were enriched through targeted modulation COS/COSF, ZO-1 expression reducing APRIL/BAFF overexpression, thereby damage In conclusion, clarified kidney-gut crosstalk between IgAN, providing scientific evidence for developing microbiota-targeted food interventions improve outcomes.

The gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in human metabolic health by influencing immune responses, digestion, and homeostasis. Recent research highlights the intricate interactions between RNA, especially non-coding RNAs, regulating processes. Dysbiosis of has been linked to disorders such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) heart disease. Microbial metabolites, including short-chain acids (SCFAs), modulate RNA expression, lipid metabolism, glucose regulation, inflammatory responses. Additionally, microRNAs (miRNAs) long RNAs (lncRNAs) serve critical regulators these processes, with emerging evidence showing that gut-derived metabolites affect post-transcriptional gene regulation. This review synthesizes current understanding microbiota-RNA axis its diseases. By exploring molecular mechanisms, particularly how microbiota-derived signals pathways, underscores potential targeting this for therapeutic interventions. Furthermore, it examines dysbiosis leads epigenetic changes m6A methylation, contributing pathogenesis. These insights offer new perspective on prevention treatment diseases, applications personalized medicine.

The intestinal microbiota plays a crucial role in the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer, its anti - cancer mechanism has become research hotspot. This article comprehensively expounds on molecular mechanisms including aspects such as immune regulation, activation carcinogenic signaling pathways (it should be noted that it is more reasonable to “inhibition pathways”), metabolite mediated effects, maintenance barrier function. At same time, explores roles potential intervention methods probiotic supplementation therapy, immunotherapy, fecal transplantation. In addition, analyzes impact flora therapeutic efficacy cancer. existing results are summarized, future directions prospected, with aim providing new theoretical bases treatment ideas for prevention

Objective Previous observational studies have suggested associations between various inflammatory cytokines with type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic nephropathy. However, the causal association remains uncertain. Method Summary statistics for nephropathy were obtained from a publicly available genome-wide study. Data on sourced study protein quantitative trait loci. The inverse variance-weighted method was applied as primary inference. MR-Egger, weighted mode, median employed supplementary analyses. Sensitivity analyses performed to detect heterogeneity potential horizontal pleiotropy in Result Genetic evidence indicated that elevated levels of fibroblast growth factor 19 promoted occurrence mellitus, increased concentrations 21 levels, C-C motif chemokine eotaxin interleukin-10 mitigated risk developing while did not exert significant influence said proteins. Elevated tumor necrosis ligand superfamily member 14 TNF-related activation-induced cytokine associated an nephropathy, interleukin-1-alpha transforming factor-alpha potentially correlated diminished further ensure robustness our findings. Conclusion Mendelian randomization analysis highlights offering valuable reference future research.

Deranged gut microbiota can release increased levels of uremic toxins leading to exacerbated kidney injury. In diabetic disease (DKD), phenyl sulfate (PS) derived from tyrosine catabolism by has been demonstrated be both an early diagnostic marker and a therapeutic target. this perspective article, we summarize PS generation pathways recent findings on injury in DKD. Increasing evidence shown that the underlying mechanisms PS-induced mainly involve oxidative stress, redox imbalance, mitochondrial dysfunction, which all may targeted attenuate For future research directions, think deeper understanding pathogenic role using variety animal models should investigated.
