The rapid developments in early 2020 with the emergence of COVID-19 have led humanity into unexpected situations significant implications at all levels. In trying to cope urgent need for distance education, Greek educational community has incorporated various platforms and digital tools previously unknown most teachers students. This study uses a mixed research method capture (a) frequency use Personal Learning Environment called ‘e-me’ by before, during, after quarantine, (b) reasons why some did not this environment during these three periods. A total 902 from primary secondary education participated research. results showed an almost universal non-use before pandemic usage pandemic. After the appearance of first smartphones in 2007 and shortly thereafter, tablets became not only useful communication tools, but also objects that function as life organisation units. However, although they are ubiquitous, their actual potential role biology education has been sufficiently explored. The objectives survey were to investigate recent use last two grades Slovenian comprehensive school by 14- 15-year-old students, satisfaction with them for educational purposes, perceived impact on quality schoolwork classes. Smartphones and tablets have permeated various aspects of life. This study explores the differences in wishes between students, parents, teachers regarding use smartphones biology classes upcoming school year. An online questionnaire was used for study, which provided eight different scenarios teaching purposes. The data were collected from 934 participants, including 465 282 188 Slovenian lower secondary schools. principal component analysis revealed unidimensional structure instrument, explaining 59.7% variance (alpha = .91). results showed that distance learning, purposes, schoolwork homework is generally desirable.
