In this article, the solution for free vibration and static bending of nonporous porous square microplate/nanoplate is studied by practicing modified couple stress theory (MCST). The impact incorporating length scale parameter MCST confirmed comparing results to that molecular dynamics simulations. The classical multiscale homogenization methods can only take into account the pure microstructural effect, resulting in inability to accurately capture nonlocal interactions emerged from underlying microstructures of metamaterial structures.
