This study examines the spatio-temporal heterogeneity and proximity mechanisms of innovation networks in Sichuan Chongqing by social network analysis a stochastic actor-oriented model. The findings reveal following: (1) quantity collaborations has significantly increased, resulting denser network. A core-periphery structure emerged, with Chengdu Central Urban Area serving as core; (2) played leading role network, while cities have progressively gained importance since 2010, acting hub for resource gathering transit. However, there is clear tendency toward innovative cooperation between within province; (3) initial establishment linkages incurs costs, endogenous variables playing significant roles evolution. Multi-dimensional positive effects on evolution, although level GDP per capita somewhat hinders cooperation.

Mega-city regions (MCRs) embody the robust economic growth experienced in Asia 21st century. Super MCRs (sMCRs) have developed due to continuous metropolisation extending deep into surrounding hinterlands. This paper examines suburbanisation and functional specialisation processes a typical sMCR China: Pearl River Delta (PRD). Applying principal component analysis change importance values, shifting patterns socioeconomic structure of PRD between 2000 2020 are analysed compared using county/district-level occupational data. The nuanced findings show that process during research period included manufacturing activities tertiarisation. Sub-central areas become increasingly important functionally specific as location for knowledge-intensive business services other emerging activities, such environmental governance. These changes contributed evolution from development pattern dominated by core cities polycentric with specialised division labour cooperation cities.

The identification of city communities is essential for the regional planning and management metropolitan areas. City could be identified from perspective mobile flows, integrating advantages multisource flow data to measure intercity connectivity. In this research, a fusion method, which avoids one-sidedness single flow, proposed combine characteristics population traffic information flow. Moreover, silhouette coefficient hierarchical clustering algorithm are used determine number final result. results show that (1) although cargo positively correlated, there also some differences among them; (2) between cities in China presents an obvious diamond structure, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu four points diamond, Wuhan located almost centre structure; (3) based on algorithm, meet principles closely connected same community nonclosely different communities.
