Researchers have observed a rise in mental health issues among university students over the course of pandemic, part due to closure schools and public spaces for wellness. Thus, purpose this study is explore how creatively reassemble their self-care practices through different objects within homes care health.Photo-elicitation interviews were conducted with ten (10) female from Philippines. Photographs interview transcripts analysed map-making an iterative process crafting assemblages cofunctionings.The work-home assemblage was identified as site self-care, delineated by boundary-making place-making creation time spaces. We analyzed mental health strengths among youth at-risk for or living with HIV ages 14 to 24 years. In total, 13% of participants were HIV, 88% identified as LGBQ+, and 14% transgender, gender diverse, non-binary. Most either Hispanic/Latine (36%) non-Hispanic Black (44%). Data from 257 in Los Angeles, California, New Orleans, Louisiana, collected within strengths-based coaching interventions prevention treatment continuums through the Adolescent Medicine Trials Network. Case notes assessment responses identify participants’ strengths. using content analysis a theoretical lens integrating resilience theory minority stress model. all, 96.9% at least one strength. Participants described intrapersonal assets (protective traits, management activities, feeling positive despite challenges, no current problems) external resources (peer family social/emotional support professional care sub-themes therapy/counseling medication use). These results may inform implementation this intervention highlight youth’s ability their related health.

Microaggressions are a form of subtle violence that young gay men experience throughout their lives, which known for negatively affecting mental health. Gender and Sexuality Performances Among LGBT+ Equality Dancers: Photo-Elicitation as a Method of Inquiry DOI Creative Commons

In its classical form, ballroom dancing constitutes heterosexual dance couples enacting conservative forms of masculinity and femininity. A normative focus, both in scholarship practice, on the form competitive (also known as Dancesport) excludes lived narratives LGBT + dancers practicing sport outside mainstream. Equality Dancesport is one such example, with performing diverse partnership typologies adopting less gender-segregated roles movements. Drawing photo-elicitation exercise, embedded within in-depth interviews, conducted part a broader ethnographic study equality scene United Kingdom, I demonstrate how strategy informed ground-up emergence queer theoretical framework for understanding masculinities femininities across sex, gender sexuality categorical divides. Four key opportunities afforded by photo elicitation are identified, namely (1) invoking new knowledge which blurs binary divide concepts investigated existing scholarship, (2) facilitating development more egalitarian researcher/participant relationships, (3) enabling affective, detailed fluid narrations experiences dancing, (4) positioning interviewees spectators inspiring reflections community. The paper concludes three recommendations negotiating pitfalls using technique studies. First, researchers need to recognise limits inclusivity offered practice sensitivity towards participants. Second, integrating photographs other visual methods videos can enable leverage strengths different tools inspire talk about topics.
