Researchers

Microaggressions
are
a
form
of
subtle
violence
that
young
gay
men
experience
throughout
their
lives,
which

mental

qualitative

groups

interviews

dancing
constitutes
heterosexual
dance
couples
enacting
conservative
forms
of
masculinity
and
femininity.
A
normative
focus,
both
in
scholarship
practice,
on

form
competitive

Dancesport)
excludes
lived
narratives
LGBT
+
dancers
practicing
sport
outside
mainstream.
Equality
Dancesport
is
one
such
example,
with
performing
diverse
partnership
typologies
adopting
less
gender-segregated
roles
movements.

photo-elicitation

in-depth
interviews,
conducted

broader
ethnographic

how
strategy
informed
ground-up
emergence
queer
theoretical
framework

recommendations

pitfalls
using
technique
studies.
First,
researchers
need
to
recognise
limits
inclusivity
offered
practice
sensitivity
towards
participants.
Second,
integrating
photographs
other
visual
methods
videos
can
enable
leverage
strengths
different
tools
inspire
talk
about
topics.
Third,
before

mental

Legal
pluralism
has
lived
implications
for
access
to
natural
resources

methods
