BACKGROUND In this digital age, children typically start using the internet in early childhood. Studies highlighted that young are vulnerable to addiction due personal limitations and social influence (eg, family school). Internet can have long-term harmful effects on children’s health well-being. The high risk of for populations like has raised questions about how best prevent problem. OBJECTIVE This review study aimed investigate existing interventions explore future directions or reduce risks younger than 12 years. METHODS systematic was conducted following PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses) guidelines. We searched relevant literature from 4 research databases (Scopus, Web Science, PubMed, PsycINFO). included 14 primary studies discussing their efficacy outcomes. RESULTS preventive identified were categorized into four approaches as follows: (1) education, (2) parenting strategy, (3) strategic physical activity, (4) counseling. Ten showed promising preventing reducing with small-to-medium effect sizes.
