Oogenesis, the process of egg production by ovary, involves a complex differentiation program leading to functional oocytes. This comprises sequential pathway steps that are finely regulated. The question related SARS-CoV-2 infection and fertility has been evoked for several reasons, including mechanism molecular mimicry, which may contribute female infertility generation deleterious autoantibodies, possibly contributing onset an autoimmune disease in infected patients. The immunological potential peptides shared between spike glycoprotein oogenesis-related proteins; Thus we planned systematic study improve our understanding possible effects on using angle mimicry as starting point.A library 82 human proteins linked oogenesis was assembled at random from UniProtKB database oogenesis, uterine receptivity, decidualization, placentation key words. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has yet to be proven alter male reproductive function, particularly in the majority of mild/asymptomatic patients. The purpose this study was explore whether COVID-19 affects semen quality and sex-related hormone levels. To find suitable comparative studies, a systematic review meta-analysis done up January 22, 2022, by using multiple databases (Web Science, PubMed, Embase). Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were used identify choose studies. Meta-analysis examine parameters hormones patients before after infection. effects collection time, fever, intensity verification on following infection also investigated. A total 13 studies (n = 770) included analysis, including three case-control six pre-post four single-arm five showed that with COVID-19, sperm concentration ( I 2 0; P 0.003), count 46.3%; 0.043), progressive motility 50.0%; < 0.001), 76.1%; 0.047), normal morphology 0.001) decreased. Simultaneously, found significant relationship between time infection, inflammation severity, parameter values, fever having only bearing concentration. Furthermore, there no difference levels Mild/asymptomatic had effect short term. It is recommended avoid initiating pregnancy during period time.

Mixed methods were adopted study, consisted Google online form distribution hard copies those who not internet friendly. All entered in a spreadsheet scores assigned each response according standard given IIEF questionnaire. Fifteen questions, one corresponding question questionnaire, included assess function. In first part analysis, we calculated function men reporting low (~ 15%) excluded, providing us 465 individuals further analysis. Regarding 71% reported no impact, 3% decline, 2.7% an improvement, 23.3% could impact. Revealing the effect of SARS-CoV-2 infection on semen quality is a dynamic priority for many healthcare providers in field as well subfertile patients. Therefore, collective summary this research approach still highly needed, especially with continuous increase original publications. Here, we provide an up-to-date review and discussion to collectively reveal human quality. To do this, reviewed all articles abstracts published Scopus PubMed using keywords 'SARS-CoV-2' 'COVID' versus 'sperm' 'semen'. In summary, it can be revealed that, at both symptomatic recovery stages infection, no investigational evidence shedding semen. Also, mainstream work reveals negative impact parameters, particularly sperm count motility. However, long-term post-recovery comparative studies seem very important particular setting.

Abstract The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on global public health and the economy. Although vaccines antivirals have provided effective protection treatment, development of new small molecule-based antiviral candidates is imperative to improve clinical outcomes against SARS-CoV-2. In this study, we identified UNI418, a dual PIKfyve PIP5K1C inhibitor, as chemical agent that inhibits entry into host cells. UNI418 inhibited proteolytic activation cathepsins, which regulated by PIKfyve, resulting in inhibition cathepsin L-dependent cleavage spike protein its mature form, critical step for viral endosomal escape. We also demonstrated prevented ACE2-mediated endocytosis virus via inhibition. Our results potential targets putative therapeutic compound

Background: Infertility is a highly meaningful issue with potentially life-changing consequences, and its incidence has been growing worldwide. Assisted reproductive technology (ART) made giant strides in terms of treating many infertility conditions, despite the risk developing ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), life-threatening complication. Methods: This narrative review draws upon scientific articles found PubMed database. The search spanned 1990–2024 period. Search strings used included “OHSS” or “ovarian hyperstimulation” “IVF” “GnRH” “hCG”; 1098 results were retrieved ultimately narrowed down to 111 suitable sources, i.e., relevant dealing condition’s underlying dynamics, management pathways, evidence-based criteria guidelines, crucial both from clinical perspective standpoint medicolegal tenability. Results: following features constitute OHSS factors: young age, low body weight, polycystic (PCOS), among others. GnRH antagonist can substantially lower severe OHSS, compared long protocol gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist. However, mild moderate form also possible if used, especially when hCG for final maturation oocytes. For women at agonist trigger freeze-all strategy advisable. one most frequent complications, 30% rate IVF cycles. Conclusion: Providing effective care patients begins early diagnosis, while evaluating comorbidities complications.
