High incidences of morbidity and mortality associated with age-related diseases among the elderly population are a socio-economic challenge. Aging is an irreversible inevitable process that risk factor for pathological progression diverse diseases. Spermidine, natural polyamine, plays critical role in molecular cellular interactions involved various physiological functional processes. Spermidine has been shown to modulate aging, suppress occurrence severity diseases, prolong lifespan. However, precise mechanisms through which spermidine exerts its anti-aging effects have not established. In this review, we elucidate on roles underlying beneficial aging from perspective. Moreover, provide new insights into promising potential diagnostic therapeutic applications

Abstract Background Several recent observational studies have reported that gut microbiota composition is associated with preeclampsia. However, the causal effect of on preeclampsia-eclampsia unknown. Methods A two-sample Mendelian randomization study was performed using summary statistics from largest available genome-wide association meta-analysis ( n =13,266) conducted by MiBioGen consortium. The were obtained FinnGen consortium R7 release data (5731 cases and 160,670 controls). Inverse variance weighted, maximum likelihood, MR-Egger, weighted median, model, MR-PRESSO, cML-MA used to examine between preeclampsia-eclampsia. Reverse analysis bacteria found be causally in forward analysis. Cochran’s Q quantify heterogeneity instrumental variables. Results estimates suggested Bifidobacterium had a protective (odds ratio = 0.76, 95% confidence interval: 0.64–0.89, P 8.03 × 10 −4 ). In addition, Collinsella 0.77, 0.60–0.98, 0.03), Enterorhabdus 0.62–0.93, 8.76 −3 ), Eubacterium (ventriosum group) 0.63–0.91, 2.43 Lachnospiraceae (NK4A136 0.65–0.92, 3.77 Tyzzerella 3 0.85, 0.74–0.97, 0.01) presented suggestive According results reverse MR analysis, no significant microbiota. No variables or horizontal pleiotropy found. Conclusions This Further randomized controlled trials are needed clarify probiotics their specific mechanisms.

Intestinal microbiota-derived metabolites have biological importance for the host. Polyamines, such as putrescine and spermidine, are produced by intestinal microbiota regulate multiple processes. Increased colonic luminal polyamines promote longevity in mice. However, no direct evidence has shown that microbial incorporated into host cells to cellular responses. Here, we show reinforce epithelial proliferation macrophage differentiation. Colonisation wild-type, but not polyamine biosynthesis-deficient, Escherichia coli germ-free mice raises intracellular levels colonocytes, accelerating renewal. Commensal bacterium-derived increases abundance of anti-inflammatory macrophages colon. The bacterial ameliorate symptoms dextran sulfate sodium-induced colitis These effects mainly result from enhanced hypusination eukaryotic initiation translation factor. We conclude functions a substrate symbiotic metabolism is further absorbed metabolised host, thus helping maintain mucosal homoeostasis intestine.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by progressive polyarthritis that leads to cartilage and bone damage. Pre-clinical RA prolonged state before clinical develop, in which autoantibodies (antibodies against citrullinated proteins, rheumatoid factors) can be present due the breakdown of immunologic self-tolerance. As early treatment initiation onset may achieve sustained remission, optimize outcomes, even prevent progression, pre-clinical stage showing prospect window opportunity for treatment. Growing evidence has shown role gut microbiota inducing systemic inflammation via multiple mechanisms, involve molecular mimicry, impaired intestinal barrier function, microbiota-derived metabolites mediated immune regulation, modulation microbiota's effect on cells, epithelial cells autophagy, interaction between microbiome human leukocyte antigen alleles as well microRNAs. Since alterations have been reported, potential therapies modifying RA, including natural products, antibiotic therapy, fecal transplantation, probiotics, microRNAs vitamin D supplementation, autophagy inducer-based treatment, prebiotics, diet, holds great promise successful prevention altering ongoing inflammation. In this review, we summarized current studies include pathogenesis progression promising therapeutic strategies provide novel ideas management possibly preventing progression.
