Abstract Mounting evidence highlights the high prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among correctional workers. Canadian correctional workers (CWs) experience substantial challenges with mental health, but prevalence estimates have been limited across provincial and territorial services. Participating CWs from all 13 services (n = 3740) self-selected to complete an online health well-being survey assessing sociodemographic characteristics symptoms of several disorders. Abstract Background Mental health frameworks, best practices, and the well-being of public safety personnel in Canada are topics increasing interest to both researchers organizations. The Road Readiness (R2MR) regimen is one such program specialized build cultural awareness reduce stigma, mitigate cumulative impacts exposures potentially psychologically traumatic events among personnel. However, limited research has conducted evaluate effectiveness R2MR, especially correctional workers. Methods current study analyzed 307 open-ended survey responses four (4) questions about R2MR garnered from 124 Canadian provincial territorial workers between 2018–2020 reveal their understandings perceptions training, identify what learned skills they found challenging or easy implement.
