This group was formed out of the conviction that endometriosis research has not progressed at a pace in proportion to disease severity and negative impact on women's quality life. Furthermore, advancement our understanding this condition requires quantum shift based new theories pathogenesis. With conviction, international calls for may improve condition, leading optimized management or even prevention. To facilitate this, dedicated website serving as repository where all proposed can be reviewed critiqued by peers will created.

Endometriosis is a chronic condition affecting reproductive-aged women, characterized by the growth of ectopic endometrial tissue. Despite being benign, endometriosis associated with an increased risk certain cancers, including endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer (EAOC). Ovarian rare, but more common in women endometriosis, particularly endometrioid and clear-cell carcinomas. Factors such as hormonal imbalance, reproductive history, environmental exposures, genetic predisposition contribute to malignant transformation endometriosis. Thus, understanding potential factors causing malignancy crucial. Over past few decades, various mutations, microRNAs, well tumor microenvironmental have been identified, impacting pathways like PI3K/AKT/mTOR, DNA repair mechanisms, oxidative stress, inflammation. this review aims summarize molecular studies involved EAOC pathogenesis therapeutic targets. However, further research needed better understand driving development, target susceptibility endometriotic lesions progression, identify effective strategies.

Adenomyosis is a chronic, hormone-related disease characterized by the presence of endometrial glands and stroma within myometrium. This condition can manifest in various features, focal or diffuse adenomyosis as an adenomyoma, it may involve different uterine walls (posterior, anterior, and/or lateral walls). The also be classified into degrees, mild, moderate severe, which associated with more intense symptoms, although this correlation not always directly proportional. In fact, asymptomatic about third cases significantly impact patients’ quality life through painful such dysmenorrhea dyspareunia, abnormal bleeding—particularly heavy menstrual bleeding—and potential effects on fertility. Historically, has been considered primarily affecting premenopausal women over age 40, often multiparous, because diagnosis was traditionally based surgical reports from hysterectomies performed after completion reproductive desire. Data adolescent patients remain limited. However, recent years, advancements noninvasive diagnostic tools increased awareness pathology have enabled earlier diagnoses. appears to early onset during adolescence, tendency progress terms extent severity time. coexists endometriosis, onset. Purpose: To investigate the association between oxidative balance score (OBS) and endometriosis. Methods: This cross-sectional study used four cycles of National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) (1999– 2000, 2001– 2002, 2003– 2004, 2005– 2006). OBS involved 16 dietary nutrients 4 lifestyle factors, including 5 pro-oxidants 15 anti-oxidants. According to weighted quartiles, was divided into categories: < 12.54, 12.54– 18.70, 18.71– 24.68, > 24.68. Endometriosis diagnosed based on a question from reproductive health questionnaire. Weighted multivariate logistic analysis Subgroup performed menstrual regularity female hormone use. Results: A total 5095 women were included, with 1140 (22.37%), 1232 (24.18%), 1224 (24.02%), 1499 (29.42%) in 24.68 categories, respectively. After adjusting age, race, family poverty-to-income ratio (PIR), education level, uterine fibroids, regularity, oophorectomy, use, hypertension, dyslipidemia, steroid drug, high (> 24.68) found be associated lower odds endometriosis [odds (OR) = 0.70, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.50– 0.97, P 0.033] compared low (< 12.54). The similar result also irregular menstruation (OR 0.58, CI: 0.37– 0.91, 0.020) use 0.71, 0.52– 0.98, 0.037). Conclusion: endometriosis, especially Keywords: Oxidative score, menstruation, hormones, NHANES

Introduction Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent disease that gives rise to pelvic pain and infertility. Although estroprogestins progestins currently stand as the first-line treatments for this condition, demonstrating efficacy in two-thirds of patients, a significant portion individuals experience only partial relief or symptom recurrence following cessation these therapies. The coexistence superficial, deep endometriosis, ovarian endometriomas, three distinct phenotypes with unique pathogenetic molecular characteristics, may elucidate current heterogeneous biological response available therapy.

This feasibility study explores the potential of salivary microRNAs (miRNAs) as non-invasive biomarkers for diagnosing endometriosis and assessing treatment response. Almost one-third patients with do not respond to standard progestin due various mechanisms progesterone resistance. Abstract Endometriosis (EMs), a significant global health issue, characterized by unclear pathogenesis, nonspecific symptoms, and poor treatment outcomes. The organ‐on‐chip technology has achieved great advances in disease modeling, yet its potential EMs‐related research remains largely untapped. Herein, microfluidic chip platform that integrates primary cell‐laden microcapsules for personalized drug evaluation. Specifically, human ectopic endometrial stromal cells (hESCs) within featuring biocompatible carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) core stable alginate (ALG) shell using precise electrospray are encapsulated. These integrated into with branched gradient generator multiple cell‐culture chambers, enabling tailored high‐throughput screening. By exposing hESCs‐microcapsules derived from of distinct patient individuals to various drugs on‐chip, inter‐individual variability was revealed, strong correlation clinical This unique combination patient‐specific 3D microenvironments dynamic control represents paradigm shift EMs research. Further integrating omics techniques, capability exploring promising is showcased. results reveal the could deliver dependable screening outcomes, thereby benefiting both scientific inquiries therapies.
