Matrine is a quinoline alkaloid extracted and separated from the dried root, fruit, other parts of plant Sophora flavescens using an organic solvent. exhibits variety biological activities widely used in pharmacy, agronomy, fields. Due to its low bioavailability, poor chemical stability, toxicity central nervous system, large number researchers have searched for matrine derivatives with higher activity safety by modifying structure. In this review article, research progress obtained two methods (extraction structural modifications) 2018 2022 terms pharmacological activity, mechanism action, structure–activity relationship are presented. The modification over past five years has been mainly on D-ring. Many new alkaloids natural products, some which good broadens strategy future.

The citrus red mite, Panonychus citri (McGregor), is an important pest of in China, where pesticides are commonly used orchards. In order to reduce the use chemical against P. and development resistance, screening biological control agents has attracted attention students. this study, seven plant essential oils with high toxicity were selected from 40 by leaf-dip bioassay, including lemongrass, patchouli, juniper berry, sage, clove, frankincense, citrus. LC50 after 72 h treatment 3.198 μL/mL, 8.312 3.244 6.701 8.350 21.953 8.788 respectively. Pyridalyl, as a novel insecticide with an unknown mode of action, has shown excellent control efficacy against lepidopterous larvae and thrips. Previous modifications this compound have mostly focused on the pyridine moiety, limited information available about to other parts pyridalyl. In paper, we report synthesis insecticidal activity series azidopyridryl-containing dichlorolpropene ether derivatives, based middle alkyl chain Screening results for indicate that our synthesized compounds show moderate high activities at tested concentrations P. xylostella. Particularly, III-10 exhibits LC50 value 0.831 mg L-1, compared pyridalyl 2.021 L-1. Furthermore, also displays relatively broad spectrum Lepidoptera pests M. separata, C. suppressalis, O. nubilalis, medinalis. Finally, in field trials, demonstrates better efficiency Chilo suppressalis Overall, findings suggest modification may be promising approach developing insecticides improved efficacy.

Diaphorina citri Kuwayama (Hemiptera: Liviidae), commonly known as the Asian citrus psyllid, is a prominent tree pest that serves vector for huanglongbing (HLB). The substantial costs incurred by industry consequence of this disease have spurred considerable interest in combined control D. using insecticides and natural enemies. However, successful implementation such integrated management strategies dependent on ensuring compatibility enemies presence insecticides. In regard, we evaluated lethal sublethal effects flupyradifurone Orius strigicollis (Poppius) (Heteroptera: Anthocoridae), an important predatory biological agent, which assessed risk exposure to under both in- off-field scenario. median rate (LR50) value against O. Additionally, at 0.254 ha−1, established prolong developmental duration from first third instar nymphs. Although detected no significant difference survival immature subjected 0.064 ha−1 treatments, 0.127 treatments. Moreover, whereas there were differences adult longevity between recorded reduction fecundity. Furthermore, reductions peak life expectancy, reproductive value, finite increase, intrinsic net reproduction response increasing rate. mean generation time longer conditions. Following simulated 100 days, population treatments larger those exposed ha−1. On basis LR50 evaluations, unacceptable in-field scenario, it remained acceptable off-field. Nonetheless, effect prolonged residual could pose (e.g., adjacent habitats). Consequently, different scenarios should thoroughly assessed, reducing dosage advantageous when combine with augmentative release strigicollis.

Published: April 23, 2024

The invasive fruit fly, Drosophila suzukii, has become a global threat to small production due its expansion and biological characteristics. Its ability produce seasonal morphotypes allows it survive in various climates, leading multiple generations per year. Females prefer soft-skinned fruits for oviposition, causing economic losses growers as larvae feed on pulp create openings pathogenic microorganisms. In regions like the Netherlands Brazil, significant have been recorded, affecting crops berries grapes. This research explored different approaches integrated pest management contributes development of an program D. focusing primarily vineyards south Brazil. Fieldwork monitoring revealed that population dynamics are influenced by microclimate conditions, particularly humidity. A higher density was observed forest border compared vineyards. Grape-cultivar-susceptibility varied, with skin resistance pH influencing oviposition. Tested botanical compounds showed potential controlling suzukii whereas high dynamized dilutions increased reproduction. Recommendations include vineyard during grape ripening selective implementation strategies based cultivar-susceptibility. Sustainable tools promising effective control should be further integration into sustainable strategies. Overall, this provides information can located São Joaquim region, Santa Catarina,
