The advancements in second-/third-generation sequencing technologies, alongside computational innovations, have significantly enhanced our understanding of the genomic structure Y-chromosomes and their unique phylogenetic characteristics. These researches, despite challenges posed by lack population-scale databases, potential to revolutionize approach high-resolution, population-specific Y-chromosome panels databases for anthropological forensic applications. This study aimed develop highest-resolution Y-targeted panel, utilizing time-stamped, core informative mutations identified from high-coverage sequences YanHuang cohort. panel is intended provide a new tool complex pedigree search paternal biogeographical ancestry inference, as well explore general patterns fine-scale evolutionary history ethnolinguistically diverse Chinese populations. performance East Asian-specific Y-chromosomal including 2999-core SNP variants, was found be robust reliable. YHSeqY3000 designed capture genetic diversity lineages 3500 years ago, identifying 408 terminal 2097 individuals across 41 genetically geographically distinct We substructure that correlating with ancient population migrations expansions. New evidence provided extensive gene flow events between minority ethnic groups Han people, based on integrative Paternal Genomic Diversity Database. work successfully integrated Y-chromosome-related basic science translational applications, emphasizing necessity comprehensively characterizing genomically under-representative particularly important second phase medical or cohorts, where dense sampling strategies are employed.

This study investigates the genetic structure and demographic history of contemporary Thai populations from Tak Ranong, two border provinces between Thailand Myanmar with complex immigration histories. We analyzed 20 Y-SNP markers (327 samples) 24 Y-STR profiles (241 samples), along published datasets, observed significant differentiation these regions. is dominated by O2a2b1a1a (44.53%) O1b1a1a (21.17%). The presence NO1 (14.6%) suggests contributions nearby such as Karen, Lawa, Khuen. Notably, shows low gene diversity (GD) at DYS391 (0.2208), contrasting Ranong (0.5247) overall population (0.4708). exhibits a more diverse haplogroup distribution, prominent frequencies (20.75%), F (16.98%) (13.21%). haplogroups K (11.32%) R* (7.55%) reflects connection Maniq or other mainland Negrito groups, well historical flow South Asia. These findings enhance our understanding landscape shaped migration localized admixture. also expanded Y-chromosome database novel haplotypes, updated forensic parameters Y-haplogroup frequencies, providing valuable resources for paternal ancestry inference kinship verification in both science genetics.

Introduction The Y chromosome, transmitted exclusively through the paternal line, is a well-established tool for verifying genealogical data. Kazakh tribe Zhetiru in Kazakhstan, comprising seven clans, has conflicting historical and narratives regarding its origin—either as union of independent clans or descendants single common ancestor. A detailed genetic investigation not yet addressed this question. Methods 350 male volunteers from were analyzed using 23 Y-STR loci 17 Y-SNPs. We calculated distances Arlequin STRAF, explored structure with median-joining networks comparative dataset over 3,000 individuals. Results At tribal level, haplotype diversity (0.997) haplogroup (0.91) are high. However, at clan haplotypic decreases, revealing clear founder effects main haplogroups Kerderi (R1a1a), Kereit (N1a2), Tama (C2a1a3), Teleu (J2a2). structures Zhagalbaily, Ramadan, Tabyn indicate additional sub-clan founders. ages key clusters suggest stable lineages 1,000 years. do form distinct cluster among tribes but demonstrate affinities others. Conclusion This study demonstrates effective application genealogy approaches records concerning determining origin distinct, genetically clans.

This study presents an integrative genomic dataset of 3,461 individuals Asia to elucidate the fine-scale population substructure its role in precision medicine. Six nested panels were developed with increasing ancestry-informative marker (AIM) density (ranging 50 2,000 SNPs) distinguish fine genetic differences between six language groups Sino-Tibetan family. We found that 2000 AIM panel exhibited differentiation efficiency PCA comparable all loci. Additionally, we constructed a classification machine learning model average prediction accuracy 84%, highlighting critical geographical improving accuracy. Furthermore, validated deep method Locator predicting coordinates solely based on information. work highlights power integrating geographic data artificial intelligence refine biogeographical inference, offering more profound insights into structure Asia, significant implications applications.
