Abstract Responding to the urgent global need for sustainable development, this study investigates how biomimicry can be integrated with circular economy promote environmental sustainability. Through an extensive review of literature, existing research, and case studies, we critically examine application principles in enhancing practices. Our methodology synthesises insights from across disciplines, employing a thematic gap analyses uncover prevalent trends identify research deficits. Building on Janine Benyus' seminal work, introduce novel framework derived Life's Principles evaluate sustainability efforts, focusing their consistency or deviation biomimetic principles. finds significant correlation between economy's emphasis reducing waste improving resource efficiency biomimicry's focus nature‐inspired design. We pinpoint “resource efficiency” “eco‐friendly chemistry” as primary areas where measures reflect ideals. However, our analysis also reveals considerable incorporating local socio‐economic factors into frameworks. This oversight highlights necessity in‐depth initiatives tailored enhance resilience community well‐being. By underscoring these parallels identifying key opportunities, article elucidates could drive more effective argue that future should bridging identified by exploring models incorporate considerations, thereby ensuring impactful outcomes.
