Formins or formin homology 2 (FH2) proteins, evolutionarily conserved multi-domain proteins in eukaryotes, serve as pivotal actin organizers, orchestrating the structure and dynamics of cytoskeleton. However, a comprehensive investigation into family their plausible involvement abiotic stress remains undocumented soybean (Glycine max). In current study, 34 FH (GmFH)family members were discerned, genomic distribution spanning twenty chromosomes non-uniform pattern. Evolutionary analysis gene across plant species delineated five discernible groups (Group I to V) displayed closer evolutionary relationship within Glycine soja, max, Arabidopsis thaliana. Analysis GmFH unveiled variable sequence lengths substantial diversity motifs. Structural prediction promoter regions suggested large set cis-acting elements associated with hormone signaling, growth development, responses. The syntenic revealed greater convergence genes dicots, indicating close affinity. Transcriptome data distinctive expression patterns several diverse tissues developmental stages, underscoring spatiotemporal regulatory framework governing transcriptional gene. Gene qRT–PCR identified many dynamic pattern response stresses, revealing potential roles regulating adaptation. Additionally, protein interaction highlighted an intricate web interactions among proteins. These findings collectively underscore novel biological function facilitating adaptation soybeans.

Soybean is a major oil crop and primary protein source for livestock, soybean the most common input biodiesel. Identifying genes that enhance yield content crucial breeding programs. Phosphatidic acid (PA) phosphohydrolase (PAH), which dephosphorylates PA to diacylglycerol (DAG), plays critical role in lipid synthesis, yet their potential improving agronomic traits of crops remains unexplored. This study shows seed-specific expression AtPAH1/2 enhances turnover into DAG triacylglycerol (TAG) accumulation seeds. PAH overexpression upregulated acyltransferase (DGAT) but suppressed phospholipid: (PDAT). In addition, increases seed size weight. Furthermore, analysis variation PAHs 4414 accessions indicated advantageous effects GmPAHs on weight were selected during domestication. These findings suggest targeting represents promising strategy enhancing current cultivars landraces soybeans.

Background Frigida ( FRI ) genes are crucial for regulating flowering time in plants. While the biological importance of Frigida-like FRL gene family has been recognized Arabidopsis , a systematic analysis these soybean is lacking. Characterizing will help uncover their roles regulation, offering valuable insights improving adaptation. Results In this study, we identified 16 soybean, naming them based on relationship to thaliana . These unevenly distributed across thirteen chromosomes. Phylogenetic categorizes proteins from and rice into four distinct subfamilies (I–IV). Our findings indicate that eight GmFRLs arose whole-genome duplication (WGD) events, alongside two tandem events. Gene structure confirmed all GmFRL members contain domains. Additionally, promoter revealed numerous cis-acting elements related photoperiodic response, suggesting significant role soybean’s light response mechanisms. RNA-seq data demonstrated variable expression levels tissues, including flower, leaf, pod, seed, other while subcellular localization qPCR analyses further support vital responsiveness soybean. Conclusion summary, our comprehensive offers evolution potential functions genes, emphasizing significance responses establishing foundation research family.

The serine carboxypeptidase-like (SCPL) gene family plays a crucial role in the regulation of plant growth, development, and stress response through activities such as acyltransferases secondary metabolism pathways. Although SCPL genes have been identified various species, their specific functions characteristics soybean (Glycine max) not yet studied. We characterized 73 genes, grouped into three subgroups based on structure phylogenetic relationships. These are distributed unevenly across 20 chromosomes show varied codon usage patterns influenced by both mutation selection pressures. Gene ontology (GO) enrichment suggests these involved cell wall responses. Expression analysis tissues under conditions, including presence numerous stress-related cis-acting elements, indicated that expression patterns. This they play specialized roles modulating defense mechanisms against nematode infections, enhancing tolerance to drought high salinity, responding cold stress, thereby helping adapt environmental stresses. Moreover, GmSCPLs was significantly affected following exposure infection, drought, salt (NaCl), Our findings underscore potential resistance soybean, providing valuable resource for future genetic improvement breeding strategies.
