Abstract A highly virulent Colletotrichum falcatum pathotype (CF08) was cultured in nutrient deficit media with fine-cut sugarcane stalks of red rot susceptible variety (CoJ 64). The mycelium collected for the analysis whole proteome using LCMS/MS. In-silico performed to identify exclusive and differentially abundant proteins from proteomes C. samples (CFS1 CFS2). Whole revealed a relatively higher number peptide identities/proteins CFS2 (2233), followed by CFS1 (1911), CFC (control) least (1808). Compared control, had plenty exclusively like ABC transporters, glucose transporter, actin cytoskeleton-regulatory complex proteins, antimicrobial peptides, autophagy-related chitin synthase, dicer-like histone-lysine N-methyltransferase myosin-1 polyketide synthase nonribosomal which are involved process fungal virulence/pathogenicity. Abstract Utilization of biocontrol agents is a sustainable approach to reduce plant diseases caused by fungal pathogens. In the present study, we tested effect candidate fungus Aureobasidium pullulans (De Bary) G. The mycoparasite Clonostachys rosea ACM941 is under development as a biocontrol organism against Fusarium graminearum, the causative agent of head blight in cereals. To identify molecular factors associated with this interaction, transcriptomic and exometabolomic profiles C. F. graminearum GZ3639 were compared during coculture. Prior to physical contact, antagonistic activity correlated response heavily dominated by upregulation polyketide synthase gene clusters, consistent detected accumulation corresponding secondary metabolite products. Gray mold caused by Botrytis cinerea is a common postharvest disease in strawberries, reducing shelf life considerably. We investigated the potential of yeast-like biocontrol fungus Aureobasidium pullulans (AP-SLU6) vectored bumblebees (Bombus terrestris) Flying Doctors® system to inhibit pathogen and increase harvested strawberries (cultivar Sonata). Using as vectors various agents becoming increasingly popular, but any potentially negative effects on bee performance have been understudied. Our results show that, over 4-week period trial, activity bees were not negatively affected A. pullulans. This suggests that applied during flowering infection thus, effectively protected from mold. Various strains of the mycoparasitic fungal species Clonostachys rosea are used commercially as biological control agents for plant diseases in agricultural crop production. The literature is full of studies reporting environmental and health issues related to using traditional pesticides in food production storage.
