This study examined how touch role and culture shape affective experiences. Germans ( N = 130) Chinese were surveyed once as toucher touchee. For different actions, they (a) provided free-text descriptions of what prompts touch, (b) indicated with whom feels comfortable, (c) highlighted areas comfort on a body outline. Overall, was prompted by affectionate feelings, more comfortable closely bonded individuals, when directed at the upper arms, shoulders, back. This mini-review covers recent works on the study of pleasant touch in patients with chronic pain (CP) and its potential use as a treatment. This study investigated association between momentary affectionate touch subjective well-being, as well salivary oxytocin cortisol in everyday life Methods: In first step, we measured anxiety depression symptoms, loneliness attitudes toward social a large cross-sectional online survey (N = 1050). From this sample, N 247 participants completed ecological assessments over 2 days with six daily by answering smartphone-based questions on state, providing concomitant saliva samples assessment. Results: Multilevel models showed that within-person level, associated decreased self-reported anxiety, general burden, stress, increased levels. On between-person levels higher happiness.
