In what ways do mobile communication practices change through later life? To extent sociodemographic characteristics, country of residence, and well-being relate to these changing practices? answer questions, we used an online, longitudinal study targeting internet users aged 60 over in six countries (Austria, Canada, Israel, the Netherlands, Spain, Romania). The focus is on 3,125 respondents who declared using a phone every wave (2016, 2018, 2020). Results show increasing usage diversification already before Covid-19 pandemic. A latent class analysis identified three different styles practices. most sophisticated relies almost all analyzed functions, while unsophisticated limited voice calls, texting (mainly SMS), photographs lesser extent. Addressing the digital divide becomes essential to ensure equal opportunities in government, especially for older individuals as global population rapidly ages.
