The swift advancement of digital technologies under Industry 4.0 has significantly transformed business operations and supply chain management. These advancements hold the potential to improve efficiency, reduce waste, foster sustainable development; however, they also create challenges due uneven adoption across enterprises. (1) Background: chains is uneven, resulting in a divide between This disparity disrupts collaboration alignment with practices. (2) Methods: research examines how corporate affects supply–demand imbalance by employing quantitative method identify obstacles strategies for improving collaboration. employs approach, specifically multiple regression analysis, investigate among enterprises overcoming barriers. utilizes firm-level data from Chinese stock market accounting databases performs robustness checks, including methods such as instrumental variable approach Heckman two-stage model, ensure validity findings. (3) Results: study finds that exacerbates imbalances both upstream downstream chains. Elevating resilience effectively alleviated this relationship. Specifically, strengthening resource process impact on chain, while enhancement system product mitigated chain. Heterogeneity analysis indicates varies different conditions network centrality, concentration, government focus, enterprise nature.
