Purpose Recent disruptions have sparked concern about building a resilient and sustainable manufacturing supply chain. While artificial intelligence (AI) strengthens resilience, research is needed to understand how cloud adoption can foster integration, collaboration, adaptation manufacturing. Therefore, this study aimed unleash the power of AI in optimizing resilience performance through collaboration adaptive capabilities at firms. Design/methodology/approach This followed deductive approach employed quantitative method with survey technique collect data from its target population. The used stratified random sampling sample size 1,279 participants working diverse industries across California, Texas New York. Findings investigated companies make their chains more sustainable. findings revealed that integrating enhance adaptability, leading better (hypotheses H1-H7, except H5). Additionally, utilizing helps improve further strengthening sustainability (H8-H11). Interestingly, found internal integration alone does not significantly impact (H5). suggests external factors are critical fostering within chain during disruptions. Originality/value dives into complex world interconnected (formative constructs higher order) influencing chains. Using advanced modeling techniques, it highlights powerful cloud-based integration. Cloud-based unlock significant improvements for manufacturers decision-makers by enabling information processes dynamic capability theory.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the factors influencing adoption of data analytics in performance management. By examining role organizational and environmental contexts, this contributes existing literature by proposing a novel detailed technology-organization-environment (TOE) model for complex interplay between firm characteristics analytics. The results offer valuable insights practical implications organizations seeking leverage effective Design/methodology/approach research draws upon set encompassing over 21,869 companies operating across all European Union member states. A multilevel logistic regression was developed evaluate influence on likelihood adopting organizations. Findings findings indicate that lack awareness benefits its application address specific business challenges is significant barrier adoption. Organizational such as variable-pay systems, employee training, hierarchical structures frequency monetary rewards, also Research limitations/implications informs managers about strategic capabilities management improved intelligence driving culture. Practical helps understand management, leading fostering data-driven culture five key areas: structural alignment, decision-making, resource allocation, improvement change Originality/value advances TOE theory, making it more complete framework, particularly applicable It identifies main play crucial process.

Purpose The present study investigated organizational resilience (OR) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE’s) energy sector to identify impactful technological and human variables assess hermeneutic effect of digital transformation on value co-creation OR. also investigates mediating role a few covariates Design/methodology/approach questionnaire was sent out 311 professionals sector, all affiliated with governmental organizations, using quota sampling. A total 206 collated responses corresponding tested regarding influences transformation, employee resilience, innovation readiness, cyber OR were analyzed structural equation modeling. Accordingly, model eight constructs their 27 indicators tested. Findings Instituting flexibility adaptability advancements, as well found enhance transformation. sense self-efficacy who participated led them develop readiness thus embrace creativity encourage while maintaining collaborative efforts customers stakeholders. This mediated several variables, such importance managers' understanding customer needs, preferences pain points, which involves actively seeking valuing feedback inform decision-making. Practical implications When iterative prototyping, continuous learning, are integrated into an organization’s culture, they create robust foundation for customer-centric mindset. mindset becomes ingrained how employees approach work make purposeful decisions. Originality/value drew empirical insights UAE’s from resource-based theory perspective. By identifying potential vulnerabilities implementing appropriate mitigation measures, organizations can reduce likelihood impact disruptions, ultimately help maintain satisfaction loyalty.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate and quantify the impact product complexity, including architectural on operator learning, productivity quality performance in both assembly disassembly operations. This topic has not been extensively investigated previous research. Design/methodology/approach An extensive experimental campaign involving 84 operators was conducted repeatedly assemble disassemble six different products varying complexity construct learning curves. Data from experiment were analysed using statistical methods. Findings human factor increases superlinearly with increasing products, i.e. centralised distributed architectures, disassembly, regardless level overall complexity. On other hand, decreases as increases. intrinsic characteristics architecture are reasons for difference factor. Practical implications results study suggest that considering particularly design planning manufacturing processes can optimise performance, inform decisions about improving Originality/value While research focussed effects process time defect generation, amongst first an campaign.
