Introduction
In
practice,
the
phenomenon
of
employees
“lying
flat”—characterized
by
poor
proactive
behavior—reflects
a
failure
in
organization’s
compensation
incentive
policy.
Currently,
most
effective
practice
is
total
rewards,
yet
previous
research
seems
to
overlook
impact
rewards
(TR)
on
proactivity
and
has
not
considered
when
its
effects
may
vary
across
different
forms
behavior.
Methods
Based
social
exchange
theory
role
theory,
this
study
uses
hierarchical
regression
self-help
methods
conduct
two-wave
survey
new
generation
Chinese
knowledge
(
N
=
336).
Results
The
results
show
that
significantly
enhance
both
individual
task
team
member
proactivity,
with
greater
positive
effect
former.
Additionally,
finds
vertical
collectivism
orientation
weakens
rewards-individual
relationship,
while
horizontal
rewards-team
relationship.
Surprisingly,
does
support
moderating
or
proactivity.
Discussion
Our
findings
contribute
deeper
understanding
effectiveness
practices
through
lens
intracultural
heterogeneity
provide
valuable
insights
for
managers
seeking
foster
various
among
employees.

ABSTRACT
Thriving
at
work
has
gained
considerable
research
attention
over
the
past
decades.
This
study
aimed
to
systematically
unpack
knowledge
of
past,
present,
and
future
thriving
by
using
bibliometric
analysis.
Following
PRISMA
protocol,
this
assesses
281
peer‐reviewed
papers
published
between
2005
2024.
Results
are
as
follows:

We
identify
prominent
authors,
significant
publications,
top
countries,
leading
affiliations,
journals
in
work.
(2)
Six
clusters
(i.e.,
work–family
enrichment,
career
commitment,
servant
leadership,
challenge
stressors,
job
satisfaction,
psychological
capital)
identified
based
on
keywords
that
map
emergent
core
themes
via
content
(3)
Based
demands–resources
model,
we
a
detailed
framework
about
its
antecedents,
moderators,
outcomes.

directions
