Although possessing flexibility and accessibility, asynchronous online courses suffer from high attrition cause unsatisfactory learning performance, leading to a pressing need understand factors influencing learners’ continuance of intention. Based on the expectation confirmation model, this study investigated perceived enjoyment as an extended variable unpack mediating effects usefulness relationship between Quantitative data 254 learners enrolled in English were obtained for analysis. Results indicate that significantly positively affects intention take courses. Perceived mediate The total indirect effect through combination was 55.52%. Additionally, interviews with five revealed despite limited real-time interaction, they highly value given promote self-regulated learning, offer choice freedom, foster sense achievement, reduce anxiety embarrassment risks trigger their enjoyment. This provided deep insights into EFL decisions learning. Instructors are suggested improve quality courses, provide timely feedback, design tasks perceptions further engage synchronous

Although m-learning applications have been widely used in universities, the factors that might affect continuous intention to utilise them not fully addressed. Therefore, this study aimed understand by extending expectation confirmation model (ECM) and incorporating self-regulated learning (SRL). A quantitative research design was adopted, data were gathered using a structured questionnaire distributed 227 undergraduate university students through simple random sampling. The analysed structural equation modelling (SEM) AMOS. findings revealed proposed has high explanatory power (79%), which explains phenomena of influential factors. Additionally, students’ perceived usefulness (PU) satisfaction had positive direct significant effect on use applications. However, did but did. Furthermore, SRL an indirect intention, while it both confirmation. practical theoretical implications are further discussed detail.

Despite the spread of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and applications, Apple Vision Pro (AVP) stands out for its innovative features compared to other types wearable technology. Moreover, traditional glasses have been deficient in incorporating many AI innovations that could enhance user experiences pose new challenges. In response these aspects, this study aims develop a theoretical model by integrating constructs from expectation confirmation (ECM) (expectation satisfaction [SAT]) aspects Uses Gratifications (U&G) theory. ABSTRACT As generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) increasingly penetrates language education, understanding learners' continued intention to use this technology becomes crucial. This study examines EFL continuance GenAI for learning through PLS‐SEM and fsQCA methodologies. Participants were undergraduate learners ( N = 383) from three universities in Taiwan, aged 18–24, with varying English proficiency levels (TOEIC 450–860 or CEFR A2‐B2). Data collected an online survey comprising validated scales measuring acceptance constructs personality traits using 5‐point Likert scales. Analysis employed both partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS‐SEM) fuzzy‐set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). Results showed that key dimensions – dependability, attractiveness novelty shape users' overall experience GenAI, where dependability specifically align initial expectations. Both expectancy confirmation social influence predict intention. Openness moderates these relationships positively but negatively influence, indicating individuals high openness prioritise personal evaluation over cues. the first combine research, it reveals complementary insights: while identifies predictors of use, uncovers multiple pathways adoption, as core conditions across configurations. dual‐method approach advances theoretical adoption by demonstrating how linear coexist complex configurational patterns. The findings provide practical implications educational design, emphasising need balance system reliability aesthetic appeal accounting individual differences user traits.

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) holds significant potential to enhance pre-service teacher professional development. However, research has primarily focused on initial acceptance, neglecting post-acceptance behaviours, particularly the factors influencing continued GAI use among teachers. To address this gap, study extends an Expectation-Confirmation Model (ECM) include information quality and AI self-efficacy as additional determinants. Using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) approach, we analysed data from 506 Chinese Findings reveal that positively impacts perceived usefulness expectation confirmation, both of which satisfaction. Together with self-efficacy, these elements emerged key predictors intention continue using GAI, most direct factor. Contrary hypothesis, personal major did not moderate relationships. This contributes a deeper understanding behaviours motivations teachers post-GAI adoption, offering new insights into sustained development integration in education.
