A new methodology for the selective extraction of antioxidants from mate tea leaves (and decaffeinated leaves), using different natural deep eutectic systems (NADES), is reported in this paper. fractionated was carried out and optimization conditions such as solid/liquid ratio, temperature, time, stirring use ultrasound assisted (UAE) technology performed. The results demonstrate that a sequential using, first step, an hydrophobic system Men:Lau (2:1) and, second hydrophilic lactic acid-based NADES, leads to two distinct extracts: one rich pigments polyphenols. NADES were able extract 30% more polyphenolic components matrices, when compared with traditional solvents/techniques. Moreover, it has been shown incorporation same aqueous medium beneficial stabilization antioxidants. It maintains their functionality at least three months, reaching 41% versus extracts obtained by absence caffeine did not have any effects on stability results.

Berries are important components of the human diet, valued for their high content nutrients and active compounds. Berry seeds also objects scientific investigation as, in some cases, they can have a higher concentration certain phytochemicals than other parts fruit. Moreover, often byproducts food industry that be reused to make oil, extracts, or flour. We reviewed available literature related chemical biological activity from five different berry species—red raspberry (Rubus idaeus L. Rubus coreanus Miq.), strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa), grape (Vitis vinifera L.), sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon Ait.). searched various databases, including PubMed, Web Knowledge, ScienceDirect, Scopus. Last search was conducted on 16.01.2023. Various preparations valuable sources bioactive could used as functional foods pharmaceuticals cosmetics. Some products, like flour, already market. However, many compounds still lack appropriate evidence effectiveness vivo, so should first assessed animal studies clinical trials.

Rosehips (Rosa spp., Rosaceae) are wild rose bushes with more than 100 species. Its fruits vary in colour and size, depending on the species, recognised for their nutritional characteristics. Ten samples of Rosa canina L. rubiginosa were collected at different geographical points from Southern Chile. Nutrients such as crude protein minerals functional properties phenolic compounds, ascorbic acid, also antioxidant activities evaluated by HPLC-DAD-ESI-MS/MS. The results revealed a high content bioactive primarily acid (6.0 to 8.2 mg g-1 fresh weight (FW)), flavonols (427.9 ± 0.4 μg FW) activity. We established relationship between activity using Trolox equivalent capacity (TEAC), cupric reducing (CUPRAC) 2,2-diphenyl radical (DPPH) methods concentration uncoloured catechin.
