There is growing evidence that deficiencies in specific nutrients can impact testosterone levels older men. However, research examining the predictive value of overall nutritional status on remains limited. The Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI) an effective tool for assessing elderly. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate potential correlation between GNRI and serum total (TT).

Purpose To evaluate the association of Life’s Essential 8 (LE8) and its subscales with male biochemical androgen deficiency (MBAD) total testosterone based on data from national health nutrition examination survey (NHANES) database. Methods Data males aged 20 years or older NHANES 2013–2016 were extracted. LE8 score was calculated American Heart Association definitions. Total (TT) values measured in using precise isotope dilution liquid chromatography. MBAD defined as serum TT <300 ng/dL. Univariate multivariable analyses conducted. Propensity matching (PSM) weighted regression after added sensitivity analyses. The generalized additive model, smooth curve fitting, recursive algorithm used to determine potential inflection points. Piecewise models log-likelihood ratio test quantify nonlinear effects. Results A 3094 participants who above included. Out them, 805 diagnosed MBAD. After adjusting confounders independently associated (OR 0.96, P < 0.001) (β 2.7, 0.001). remained robust even PSM. non-linear relationship behaviors revealed. Conclusion an independent protective factor a feasible approach promote endocrine sexual function.

Healthy sleep is essential for human health. It performs important biological functions and positively affects health longevity through the metabolic endocrine systems. Sleep disorders are serious clinical conditions that can reduce life expectancy quality of life. deprivation, circadian rhythm disruption, obstructive apnea syndrome widespread in modern society accumulate over time. The adverse cardiometabolic reproductive consequences insufficient becoming increasingly evident. In men, persistent deprivation lead to several problems, including hypogonadism. This because testosterone levels increase during peak rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. Consequently, disruptions architecture loss a decrease male sex hormone levels. On other hand, low worsen efficiency nighttime awakenings. article reviews discusses relationship between disturbances deficiency, as well methods correcting these conditions.

Objective: To evaluate the association between sleep duration with serum estradiol concentrations and its variation by sex age in American adults. Methods: Data were analyzed for 5406 men women (≥ 20 years old) who participated cycles of National Health Nutrition Examination Survey 2013–2016, a cross‐sectional study. Total (pg/mL) was measured categorized (low, normal, high) based on NHANES protocol. Sleep classified as ≤ 6, 6–9, ≥ 9 h. Weighted multivariable adjusted multinomial logistic regression models conducted to assess these associations. Results: Our analysis revealed no significant associations among both women. Specifically, comparisons durations (≤ 6 h) reference group (6–9 across various categories showed odds ratios low high that remained statistically nonsignificant fully models. These findings suggest that, unlike previous studies linking variations other hormones, do not appear be significantly affected differences either all groups studied. Conclusion: The lack indicates may influence levels general population results underscore importance continued research into how influences hormonal balance. However, it is important note data we used are from study, which cannot establish causal relationship estradiol. Future should investigate additional factors, such genetic predispositions, lifestyle habits, environmental influences, modulate hormone levels.

The atherogenic index of plasma (AIP), defined as log10 (triglycerides/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol), serves a biomarker for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease (CVD). It is also associated with conditions such type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, depression, both overall mortality. Serum lipids have been proven to influence serum testosterone levels, AIP significant marker lipid levels. We hypothesize that may specific relationship testosterone. This article aims evaluate the correlation between total (TT), well deficiency (TD), among U.S. population. Data were collected from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database 2011 2016. study was categorized into four groups based on quartiles AIP. Weighted multivariate linear regression logistic utilized relationships TT, TD. Restricted cubic spline (RCS) used investigate non-linear association TT subgroup analysis method employed TD across various stratifications. Ultimately, sensitivity involved comparison weighted unweighted data analyses ascertain stability conclusions. A 2,572 participants included in final study. After adjusting all confounding factors, showed independently negatively (β = -93.42, 95%CI: -123.66, -63.18, P < 0.001), level higher risk (OR 3.45, 2.09, 5.69, 0.001). In quartile AIP, levels decreased most -74.81, -105.27, -44.35, p 0.001) highest 2.89, 1.70, 4.93, addition, stratified similar results subgroups except those diabetes (P interaction >0.05 comparisons). revealed elevated -101.74, -123.18, -80.3, increased incidence 3.01, 2.17, 4.17, data.
