Phosphorus (P), an essential macronutrient, plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of plants. However, limited availability phosphorus soil presents significant challenges for crop productivity, especially when plants are subjected to abiotic stresses such as drought, salinity extreme temperatures. Unraveling intricate mechanisms through which participates physiological responses is ensure sustainability agricultural production systems. This review aims analyze influence supply on various aspects plant under hostile environmental conditions, with special emphasis stomatal operation. Furthermore, we discuss recently discovered genes associated P-dependent stress regulation evaluate feasibility implementing P-based practices mitigate adverse effects stress. Our objective provide molecular insights into P regulating plants' tolerance stresses, underscoring significance efficient use strategies sustainability. The potential benefits limitations future research directions also discussed.

Soil salinization threatens food security and ecosystem health, is one of the important drivers to degradation many ecosystems around world. microorganisms have extremely high diversity participate in a variety key ecological processes. They are guarantees for soil health sustainable development. However, our understanding function under change increased fragmented. Here, we summarize changes microbial influence diverse natural ecosystems. We particularly focus on bacteria fungi salt stress their emerging functions (such as mediated biogeochemical processes). This study also discusses how use microbiome saline soils deal with supporting ecosystems, puts forward knowledge gaps research directions that need be strengthened future. Due rapid development molecular-based biotechnology (especially high-throughput sequencing technology), community composition functional genes been extensively characterized different habitats. Clarifying responding pattern microbial-mediated nutrient cycling developing utilizing weaken adverse effects plants soil, which guiding significance agricultural production management lands.

Abstract Phosphorus (P) is a macronutrient that plants need to grow. However, most of the soil’s phosphorus still insoluble, making it difficult for absorb. This creates barrier ecologically responsible farming methods and calls innovative approaches solubilization. Solublizing microorganisms improve availability phosphorous in soil. The term “phosphorus-solubilizing microorganisms” (PSMs) describes various fungi or bacteria divide into more soluble forms. It shows how PSMs interact with their processes solubilize phosphorus. Soil pH, temperature, nutrient are only few parameters affecting its activity. investigated potential increase plant absorption use, thereby boosting agricultural yield usage efficiency. use effects on environment also evaluated. By using PSMs, farmers may less chemical fertilizers contribute runoff eutrophication waterways. Furthermore, soil structure, decrease losses, cycling, all which health long-term viability systems. Phosphorus-solubilizing have enormous promise environmentally land management. Better availability, greater output, pollution, better possible outcomes PSMs. further study required determine best application strategies, formulations, choices Incorporating operations can potentially environmental sustainability resilience. article will explore addressing critical challenges, including erosion, runoff, sustainable practices, resource conservation. Human activities have profoundly altered the Earth's phosphorus (P) cycling process and its associated microbial communities, yet their global distribution pattern response to human influences remain unclear. Here, we estimated abundances of P-cycling genes from 3321 soil metagenomic samples mapped five key processes, that is, organic phosphoester hydrolysis, inorganic solubilization, two-component system, phosphotransferase transporters. Structural equation modeling random forest analysis were employed assess impact anthropogenic environmental factors on abundance genes. Our findings suggest although less significant than climate profile, human-related factors, such as economic population, are important drivers for variations in gene abundance. Notably, increased parallel extent intervention, but generally at low moderate levels activities. Furthermore, identified critical genera, Pseudomonas Lysobacter, which sensitive changes This study provides insights into responses microbes a scale, enhancing our understanding P underscoring importance sustainable biogeochemical cycle.
