Customized healing abutments have been introduced in clinical practice along with implant surgery to preserve or create natural-appearing hard and soft tissue around the implant. This provides benefits of reducing overall treatment time by eliminating second stage elapsed fabrication final prostheses. article aims review types properties materials used for customized their applications. Articles published English on were searched Google Scholar, PubMed/MEDLINE, ScienceDirect, Scopus databases up August 2022. All following both immediate delayed placement. Each material different mechanical biological that influence peri-implant tissues. In conclusion, studies demonstrated promising outcomes all materials. However, further investigation comparing effects each tissues is required.

Abstract The failing dentition of partially edentulous individuals may be used as an initial reference for stackable restrictive surgical guides during full‐arch immediate implant placement. guide option derived from a digital workflow increases the predictability performance bone reduction, placement, and loading provisional implant‐supported fixed dental prostheses. present paper aims to report practical approach design produce metal framework with occlusal rests facilitate use tooth‐supported when placement is indicated in patients dentition.

Abstract Recent focus has shifted toward refining the soft tissue emergence profile to enhance aesthetics, support peri‐implant health, and ensure long‐term success. Traditionally, titanium stock healing abutments or chairside‐customized were used shape tissues develop for implant‐supported prostheses. However, advancements in digital dentistry now allow more precise customization increased treatment efficiency. This case report introduces a novel approach using 3D‐printed former retained by abutment. The reduced chairside time simplified registering gingival contours implant position with an intraoral scanner. Following removal, displayed enhanced volume buccally, creating aesthetically pleasing restoration site notable horizontal deficiency.

This two-part review article delineates various techniques to enhance esthetic outcomes in anterior implant treatments. Part I concentrates on presurgical measures, case selection, placement, and restoration timing. II discusses postsurgical steps, the temporary phase, emergence profile contour, abutment types, impression techniques. A comprehensive search was conducted using Medline/PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Cochrane Library. The primary keywords included: "Dental Implants," Prosthesis, Implant-Supported," "Esthetics, Dental," Impression Techniques," "Tissue Management." Initially, 1472 studies were identified, from which 187 selected based publication year title relevance. After removing duplicates, 84 abstracts reviewed full text, culminating 59 being thoroughly analyzed. decision deliver an immediate following insertion depends stability. Background/Objectives: The socket-shield technique (SST) was developed to preserve the facial/buccal portion of a tooth root prevent post-extraction ridge resorption. It has gained attention for use in anterior implant sites, but its application posterior sites remains unexplored. aim this case report proof-of-principle using SST lower molar site and evaluate effectiveness preserving tissues. Methods: A 34-year-old non-smoking patient with non-restorable mandibular first (tooth #36) underwent immediate placement SST. tooth's crown removed, buccal segments roots were retained as "shields" while placed center socket. Preoperative postoperative cone-beam CT (CBCT) scans clinical exams used assess outcomes up 12 months. Results: procedure completed uneventfully. CBCT after 4 months showed minimal horizontal bone loss: ~0.2 mm at months; ~0.1 additional loss by peri-implant soft tissue profile remained stable, achieved osseointegration high primary secondary stability. Conclusions: In case, effectively preserved alveolar contours extraction site, avoiding collapse often seen post-extraction. This suggests may be viable preservation approach sites; however, long-term follow-up further studies are needed confirm sustained validate technique's predictability.
