Objectives: This study aims to reveal the relationship between serum total antioxidant status (TAS), clinical parameters, and nutrition (dietary capacity [TAC]) in patients with fibromyalgia. Patients methods: cross-sectional was conducted a of 60 female participants (mean age: 44.7±9.7 years; range, 18 50 years) at Gaziler Physical Medicine Rehabilitation Hospital July 2020 February 2021. Thirty fibromyalgia were compared 30 age-, sex-, body mass index-matched healthy individuals. The short-form McGill Pain Questionnaire, Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQ), Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index used. Total status, oxidant (TOS), oxidative stress index (OSI) measured. Dietary TAC calculated using ferric reducing ability plasma according food frequency questionnaire. Results: showed no significant difference groups (p=0.080). OSI significantly higher patient group (p<0.001 p=0.005, respectively). mean dietary 16.5±6.5 17.2±6.2 control group, it similar (p=0.492). global score than (p<0.001). moderate positive correlation TAS both (r=0.373, p=0.042 for r=0.380, p=0.038 group). In TOS FIQ scores (r=0.420, p=0.021 r=0.450, p=0.013, polyunsaturated fatty acid omega-6 intake lower (p=0.025 both). from vegetables (p=0.025), legumes/nuts (p=0.049), meat (p<0.001) lower, whereas cereal potatoes (p=0.028). Conclusion: results indicate that can be reduced by increasing

The peptidase neurolysin (Nln) has been validated as a potential target for developing therapeutics ischemic stroke (IS). Overexpression of Nln in mouse model IS provides significant cerebroprotection, leading to reduced infarction size and edema volume. Pharmacological inhibition the post-stroke brain worsens neurological outcomes. A virtual screen identified dipeptide small-molecule activators Nln. Optimization studies resulted class peptidomimetic compounds with promising activity. However, these still possessed an amide bond that compromised their stability plasma brain. Herein, we report synthesis characterization series bioisosteres based on our leads. Imidazole-based afford scaffolds increased potency activate combined enhanced significantly better permeability over original hits.

Substance P (SP) is released from sensory nerves in the arteries and heart. It activates neurokinin-1 receptors (NK1Rs) causing vasodilation, immune modulation, adverse cardiac remodeling. The hypothesis was tested: SP metabolites activate different second messenger signaling pathways. Macrophages, endothelial cells, fibroblasts metabolized to N- C-terminal varying extents. 5-11 most abundant metabolite followed by 1-4, 7-11, 6-11, 3-11, 8-11. In NK1R-expressing human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK293) some stimulate NK1R, promoting dissociation of several Gα proteins, including Gαs Gαq their βγ subunits. increases intracellular calcium concentrations ([Ca]
