Abstract The formation of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau has long been debated, despite various proxies used to estimate its paleoelevation. Here, we introduce a novel method calibrate paleoelevation by comparing fossil and extant plant communities in Plateau. Our estimation confirms that uplift plateau was an episodic heterochronous process. Specifically, Lhasa Terrane already elevated 1 km before initial India–Asia collision. During first orogenic stage, Qiangtang rose faster than Terrane, attaining 3 late Eocene. In second underwent rapid uplift, reaching Oligocene. By Middle Miocene, both terranes had achieved elevation 4 km. Himalaya at least 2 after Pliocene. biological knowledge‐based findings contradict previous geological evidence‐based reports, which posited reached 4–5 during We provide new perspective on plateau′s history based evidence, potential reconcile confusion arising from contradictory proxies.

Predicting its potential suitable areas can provide important references for protection of . This study investigated collected 769 site data six species 28 environmental factor data, used maximum entropy model (MaxEnt) to simulate distribution under three climate scenarios (RCP2.6, RCP6.0, RCP8.5) 2050s 2070s. In order to find out the contamination of mycotoxins in Triticeae crops Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, a total 153 crop fruits were collected as target samples, and 22 tested. High detection rate was found Alternaria mycotoxins, including tentoxin (TEN), tenuazonic acid (TEA) alternariol (AOH) toxins. To further clarify production rules mycotoxins. A number 9 high yield toxic strains selected from 65 bacterial gene sequences each determined. The nine alternate cultured under specific pH culture medium, temperature ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, their growth toxicity analyzed. results showed that capacity most A. increased with increase environment decreased UV irradiation. However, some toxins did not meet this principle, or even met principle relativity. experiments, five detected positive, which TEN, AOH, monomethyl ether (AME), TEA, (ALT). altenusin (ALS) toxin metabolites strains. It indicated AME, ALT should be particularly valued future risk assessments. This finding provided comprehensive information Tibetan Plateau crops, it pointed direction food crops’ quality control.

Understanding the potential habitat of Meconopsis, their species richness distribution patterns, and influencing factors are critical for conservation rational exploitation this valuable resource. In study, we applied MaxEnt model to predict distribution, mapped pattern richness, analyzed variation along environmental gradients. Finally, calculated landscape fragmentation indices between five subregions. Our results found that: (1) medium- high-suitable habitats Meconopsis were mainly distributed in central eastern Himalaya, Hengduan Mountains, southeast edge plateau platform, with suitable ranged from 3200 m 4300 m, whose most important factor is precipitation warmest quarter; (2) showed a hump gradients except longitude that an increasing trend, concentrated south southeast; (3) subregions descending order richness: central, eastern, western Himalaya; highest lowest degree Himalaya respectively. study provides theoretical background sustainable wild.
