Immunostimulants are becoming one of the most effective models for healthy and sustainable development against vibriosis, which is a serious threat to global aquaculture industry. This study evaluated effects different concentrations Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides (GLPs) on immunomodulation disease resistance pearl gentian groupers. The relative percent survival groupers challenged with Vibrio harveyi ZJ0603 by intraperitoneal injection reached 53.3, 60, 70, 73.3% in GLPs2, GLPs4, GLPs6, GLPs8 groups, respectively, significantly higher than that 33.3% control group. Meanwhile, expression levels immune-relative genes, including IgM , MHC-Iα MHC2 IL-1β TNF-α were upregulated liver, spleen, head kidney, thymus within 28 days after GLP injection. total serum protein activities catalase, superoxide dismutase, lysozymes all groups compared those control. Moreover, optimal immunity effect was observed an GLPs at 6 or 8 mg/ml. results demonstrate immunostimulant, enhancing both specific non-specific as well grouper.

Misuse and overuse of antibiotics in aquaculture has proven to be an unsustainable practice leading increased bacterial resistance. An alternative strategy involves the inclusion immunostimulants fish diets, especially fungal herbal compounds already authorized for human consumption, hence without environmental or public health concerns. In this study, we used a holistic cross-disciplinary pipeline assess immunostimulatory properties two fungi: Trametes versicolor Ganoderma lucidum; one supplement, capsaicin form Espelette pepper (Capsicum annuum), combination these additives on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). We investigated impact diet supplementation 7 weeks survival, growth performance, cellular, humoral, molecular immune parameters, as well intestinal microbial composition fish. Uptake influenced expression related genes, generating inflammatory response. Significant differences were detected spleen-tlr2 gene expression. Supplementation with correlated structural changes microbiota enhanced overall diversity. Results demonstrated that different treatments had no adverse effect performance suggesting safety feed at tested concentrations. While mechanisms multifactorial interactions remain unclear, study provides insights not only regard nutrition compounds, but also how combined gut approach can shed light efficacy immunostimulant potential commercial supplements.

Abstract Global interest in mushroom farming techniques has grown the last few years. Despite not making up a large amount of human diet at moment, nutritional worth mushrooms prompted their usage. The three main segments global industry are wild, culinary (edible), and medicinal mushrooms. quality food that provide can be utilized to build agricultural ecosystems more sustainable for increasing productivity enhancing effectiveness resource This is mostly because recycling biomass remains from crop production. Culinary‐medicinal becoming important nutrient density, dietary value, health advantages. Given its many bioactive components, which include polysaccharides, proteins, vitamins, minerals, fiber, secondary metabolites, have been extensively as foods. These exhibit pharmacological activities possess prebiotic antibacterial capabilities. review provides information on latest advancements cultivation mushrooms, particularly with nontraditional substrates, potential therapeutic uses. Decreasing low molecular weight can improve the digestibility and availability of ingredients such as sodium alginate. This study aimed to test four dosages alginate (LMWSA) (0%: Control, 0.05%: 0.5 LMWSA, 0.10%: 1.0 0.2%: 2.0 LMWSA) in whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) (3.88 ± 0.25 g) for eight weeks. After finishing trial, were exposed cadmium (1 mg/L) 48 h. While feed conversion ratio (FCR) improved fed dietary LMWSA (p < 0.05), there was no significant difference growth among treatments. The results showed a linear relation between level FCR, glutathione S-transferase (GST) before; malondialdehyde (MDA), (GSH), GST, alanine transaminase (ALT) after stress 0.05). MDA, ALT, aspartate (AST) contents changed but not group. survival rate (85.23%) (80.20%) treatments significantly higher than Control (62.05%). negatively correlated with GST introducing them potential biomarkers exposure shrimp. Accordingly, treatment had best performance abovementioned parameters. As observed, supplementing more levels reach plateau is recommended.
