As the world recovers from COVID-19 pandemic, concern remains for future potential outbreaks because of persisting effects climate change, including proliferation infectious diseases. The frequent isolation Vibrio parahaemolyticus in surrounding environment is as it can cause infections marine animals and transmitted to humans. V. leading foodborne gastroenteritis worldwide. Malaysia one top seafood consumers this places us at a higher risk exposure infections. Over years, pathogen has been isolated various sources Malaysia, mainly such shellfish, shrimps, fish. To make matters worse, there an emergence antibiotic-resistant worldwide, which attributed uncontrolled use antibiotics aquaculture prevent treat vibriosis. Therefore, vital utilize alternatives probiotics control further propagation strains bacteria. A candidate Streptomyces sp., class filamentous, Gram-positive bacteria that produce variety bioactive compounds during their life cycle, be useful drug discovery. produced by sp. have proven microbiota-modulating stimulatory on host, enhancing immunity providing protective against With application aquaculture, efficacy available preserved, spread antibiotic resistance reduced.

This study aimed to investigate the outbreaks and characteristics of Vibrio parahaemolyticus food poisoning in Republic Korea impact climatic factors on occurrence. All data were obtained from official statistics (2002 2017). A trend analysis, Pearson’s correlation regression analysis used determine relationship between V. factors. During period, number ranked third among bacterial poisoning. The incidences occurred mostly July September. average temperature, maximum minimum temperatures, precipitation, days with rainfall, humidity showed a significant positive (p < 0.001), but daytime hours negative 0.01). further indicated that temperature was most influential variable These results indicate are associated factors, suggesting these may have been impacted by climate change, especially due warming around Korean peninsula.

The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence Vibrionaceae family in retail seafood products available Qidong market during summer 2023 and characterize Vibrio parahaemolyticus isolates, given that bacterium is leading cause seafood-associated food poisoning. We successfully isolated a total 240 strains from pool 718 samples. breakdown isolates included 146 Photobacterium damselae , 59 V. 18 campbellii 11 alginolyticus . Among these, P were predominant species, with respective rates 20.3% 8.2%. Interestingly, all identified as non-pathogenic. They demonstrated proficiency swimming swarming motility capable forming biofilms across range temperatures. In terms antibiotic resistance, showed high resistance ampicillin, intermediate cefuroxime cefazolin, sensitive other antibiotics evaluated. findings may offer valuable insights theoretical support for enhancing safety measures City.

Vibrio vulnificus (Vv) and parahaemolyticus (Vp) are water- foodborne bacteria that can cause several distinct human diseases, collectively called vibriosis. The success of oyster aquaculture is negatively impacted by high abundances. Myriad environmental factors affect the distribution pathogenic Vibrio, including temperature, salinity, eutrophication, extreme weather events, plankton loads, harmful algal blooms. In this paper, we synthesize current understanding ecological drivers Vv Vp provide a summary various tools used to enumerate in variety environments samples. We also highlight limitations benefits each measurement propose example alternative for more specific enumeration Vp. Improvement molecular methods tighten better predictive models potentially important mitigation controlled such as aquaculture.
