Abstract
Background
Myxococcota,
characterized
by
their
distinct
social
lifestyles,
are
widely
distributed
micro-predators
in
global
sediments.
They
can
feed
on
a
wide
range
of
bacterial,
archaeal,
and
fungal
prey.
Myxococcota
capable
producing
diverse
secondary
metabolites,
playing
key
roles
microbial
food
webs,
regulating
the
community
structures
different
ecosystems.
However,
rarely
pure
cultured
due
to
challenging
stringent
culturing
conditions.
Their
natural
distribution,
niche
differentiation,
predator–prey
relationships
specific
habitat
poorly
understood.
Results
In
this
study,
we
conducted
comprehensive
analysis
16S
rRNA
gene
sequence
data
from
public
databases
our
collection.
We
compared
abundance,
diversity,
distribution
patterns
various
habitats,
with
focus
mangroves.
found
that
accounted
for
1.45%
total
prokaryotes
sediments
based
abundance
genes.
abundant
mangrove
tend
be
more
generalistic
mangroves
than
other
habitats
breadth.
Besides,
deterministic
processes
(variable
selection)
influenced
assembly
communities
significantly
stochastic
processes.
Further,
determined
environmental
factors
explained
greater
amount

Mangroves
stand
out
as
one
of
the
most
diverse
and
biologically
significant
natural
systems
in
world.
Playing
critical
roles
maintaining
health
productivity
coastal
ecosystems,
mangroves
provide
a
range
services
functions,
including
habitat
for
local
fauna
flora,
food
other
goods,
carbon
sequestration,
protection
from
disasters
such
storm
surges
erosion.
It
is
also
evident
that
face
several
threats,
which
have
already
led
to
gradual
depletion
mangrove
areas
worldwide.
Based
on
analysis
current
related
historical
literature
data,
this
review
summarises
functions
threats
challenges
associated
with
management
practices.
Our
findings
suggest
development,
expanded
aquaculture,
deforestation,
climate
change,
implications
eutrophication,
diseases,
pollution
are
major
factors
posing
sustainability.
We
highlight
various
challenges,
land
use
conflict,
lack
stringent
regulatory
actions,
inadequate
policy
government
frameworks,
community
awareness,
underlie
ineffective
management.
The
implementation
inclusive
coordinated
approaches
involving
stakeholders
different
backgrounds

governmental
non-governmental

Abstract
Background
Mangrove
ecosystems
are
vulnerable
due
to
the
exotic
Spartina
alterniflora
(
S.
)
invasion
in
China.
However,
little
is
known
about
mangrove
sediment
microbial
community
assembly
processes
and
interactions
under
invasion.
Here,
we
investigated
co-occurrence
networks
of
archaeal
bacterial
communities
along
coastlines
Fujian
province,
southeast
Results
Assembly
overall
was
driven
predominantly
by
stochastic
processes,
relative
role
stochasticity
stronger
for
bacteria
than
archaea.
Co-occurrence
network
analyses
showed
that
structure
more
complex
