Human microbiome variation is linked to the incidence, prevalence, and mortality of many diseases associates with race ethnicity in United States. Social and political policy, human activities, environmental change affect the ways in which microbial communities assemble interact with people. These factors determine how different social groups are exposed to beneficial and/or harmful microorganisms, meaning exposure has an important socioecological justice context. Therefore, greater consideration of equity research, planning, policy is imperative. Here, we identify 20 research questions considered fundamentally promoting equitable along safeguarding resilient societies ecosystems.
