Abstract The increasing demand for new bioactive compounds to combat the evolution of multi-drug resistance (MDR) requires research on microorganisms in different environments order identify potent molecules. In this study, initial screening regarding antimicrobial activity 44 Actinomycetes isolates isolated from three soil samples extremely cold sites Morocco was carried out. Primary and secondary were performed against Candida albicans ATCC 60,193, Escherichia coli 25,922, Staphylococcus aureus 25,923, Bacillus cereus 14,579, other clinical MDR bacteria, thirteen phytopathogenic fungi. Based results obtained, 11 active selected further study. 11microbial identified based morphological biochemical characters their molecular identification using 16S rRNA sequence homology. UV–visible analysis dichloromethane extracts five Streptomyces sp. Strains that showed high antioxidant (ABTS 35.8% DPPH 25.6%) activities revealed absence polyene GC–MS extract E23-4 as most strain presence 21 volatile including Pyrrolopyrazine (98%) Benzeneacetic acid (90%). conclusion, we studied isolation strains produce with a microbiologically unexplored region Morocco. Furthermore, study has demonstrated significant ( P < 0.0001) positive correlation between total phenolic flavonoid contents capacity, paving way characterization these optimal use anticancer, antioxidant, purposes.

The phylum Actinobacteria includes important human pathogens like Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Corynebacterium diphtheriae renowned producers of secondary metabolites commercial interest, yet only a small part its diversity is represented by sequenced genomes. Here, we present 824 actinobacterial isolate genomes in the context phylum-wide analysis 6,700 including public isolates metagenome-assembled (MAGs). We estimate that 30%–50% projected phylogenetic possesses genomic representation via MAGs. A comparison gene functions reveals novel determinants host-microbe interaction as well environment-specific adaptations such potential antimicrobial peptides. identify plasmids prophages across uncover extensive prophage structured mainly host taxonomy.
