Early

Significance
Addiction
is
characterized
by
compulsive
drug
use
despite
negative
consequences.

model

methamphetamine
self-administration,

with

orbitofrontal
cortex-dorsomedial

circuit

cortex-ventrolateral
“stop”

addictive-like
subgroup
resistant
to
foot
shock
punishment
paired
taking.
nonaddictive-like
rats,
go-stop
balance,

similarly
changed
after
repeated
self-administration
