(1) Purpose: To evaluate the anatomy and perfusion of choroidal substructures in third-trimester pregnant women using optical coherence tomography (OCT) OCT angiography (OCTA) imaging. (2) Methods: In this cross-sectional study, their third trimester uncomplicated pregnancy non-pregnant age-matched were recruited. Participants underwent enhanced depth imaging (EDI) OCTA. Subfoveal thickness (SFCT), as well sublayer perfusion, compared between groups. (3) Results: total, 26 eyes included. The median age both groups was 29 years. SFCT 332 (211-469) µm group 371.5 (224-466) cohort (p = 0.018). choriocapillaris (CCP) significantly lower (46% vs. 48%, p 0.039). Moreover, Haller's layer correlated with mean arterial pressure (CC 0.430, 0.028) but not ones 0.054, 0.792). (4) Conclusions: found to be thinner CCP women. Hormonal changes during consecutive impacts on autoregulation small vessels might play an important role. Importance

Anemia is the most widespread nutritional deficiency among pregnant females in world. Despite numerous studies on anemia, evidence limited about association of severity anemia with maternal and fetal health.

Objective

To investigate between during pregnancy risk adverse outcomes.

Design, Setting, Participants

This retrospective cohort study used data from China’s Hospital Quality Monitoring System January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2019, for aged 15 49 years birth outcomes reported at 1508 hospitals maternity services mainland China.

Exposures

Uterine vascular remodeling is intrinsic to the cycling and early pregnant endometrium. Maternal regulatory factors such as ovarian hormones, VEGF, angiopoietins, Notch, uterine natural killer cells significantly mediate these changes. In absence of pregnancy, changes in vessel morphology function correlate with different stages human menstrual cycle. During rodents humans results decreased resistance increased permeability necessary for pregnancy success. Aberrations adaptive processes contribute risk infertility, abnormal fetal growth, and/or preeclampsia. Abstract In recent years, a growing interest has arisen regarding the possible relationship between adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs) and inadequate maternal hemodynamic adaptations to pregnancy. Background Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death during pregnancy with thoracic aortic dissection being one main causes. Thoracic commonly related to hereditary disorders and congenital heart malformations such as bicuspid valve (BAV). Pregnancy considered a high risk period in women underlying aortopathy. Methods The ESC EORP Registry Of And Cardiac (ROPAC) prospective global registry that enrolled 5739 pre-existing cardiac disease. With this analysis, we aim study maternal fetal outcome Results was reported 189 (3.3%). Half them were patients Marfan syndrome (MFS), 26% had BAV, 8% Turner syndrome, 2% vascular Ehlers-Danlos 11% no genetic defect or associated defect. Aortic dilatation 58% 6% history dissection. Four patients, whom three MFS, an acute (three type A B dissection) without mortality. No complications occurred There significant difference median birth weight if treated beta-blocker not (2960 g (2358–3390 g) vs 3270 (2750–3570 g), p value 0.25).
