Abstract Infections during or after the denture filling pose a serious threat to recovery later, and antibiotics are scanty for quick healing. The antibacterial potential of Zn has convinced us fabricate its composites with hydroxyapatite (HA), which distinct biological properties. main aim study is evaluate Zn-doped HA investigate molecular interaction bacterial strains enhance defensive ability against attack. This investigates synthesis zinc-doped nano-powder (Zn-HA) as coating materials dental applications. co-precipitation technique was used in this regard obtain purest form nanoparticles. as-prepared Zn-HA samples were characterized by FTIR spectroscopy assess functional groups between components, x-ray diffraction (XRD) determine percentage crystallinity, SEM explore surface morphology composites, EDX confirm incorporation apatite structure. crystalline size decreases from 99 nm 40 an increase doping Zncl 2 0 2.5 g. With increasing concentration doping, effectiveness increased. Due increased doped Zn, ions effectively rupture membrane destroy DNA. Meanwhile, it shows highest activity Pseudomonas (20.2 ± 0.02), Klebsiella (25.8 0.05), Bacillus (18.3 0.09), S. aureus (24 0.03), E. coli (19.3 0.09) Zn/HA5. It showed that Zinc hydroxyapatite, zinc enhances its-defensive attack various strains, makes material efficacy applications like coating, material, restoratives, inhibiting growth colonies biofilm formation oral cavity. Considering the increasing abundance of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, novel antimicrobial approaches need to be investigated. Photothermal therapy (PTT), an innovative noninvasive therapeutic technique, has demonstrated significant potential in addressing drug-resistant bacteria and bacterial biofilms. However, when used isolation, PTT requires higher-temperature conditions effectively eradicate thereby potentially harming healthy tissues inducing new inflammation. This study aims present a comprehensive review nanomaterials with intrinsic properties, materials relying on photothermal action, using drug delivery along their applications antimicrobials. Additionally, synergistic mechanisms these are elucidated. The provides reference for developing multifunctional nanoplatforms treating bacterially infected wounds.
