Dexamethasone (DXMS), a synthetic glucocorticoid, is known for its pharmacological effects on anti-inflammation, stress response enhancement and immune suppression, has been widely used to treat potential premature delivery related diseases. However, emerging evidence shown that prenatal DXMS exposure leads increased susceptibility multiple In the present study, we zebrafish as model study of embryonic liver development disease. We discovered upregulated levels total cholesterol triglycerides in liver, glycolysis process ultimately caused hepatic steatosis larvae. Furthermore, exacerbated fatty addition, showed worsened injury induced by paracetamol (N-acetyl-p-aminophenol, APAP), infiltration macrophages neutrophils, promoted expression inflammatory factors, leading impeded regeneration. Taken together, our results provide new exacerbates activating glycolytic pathway, aggravates APAP-induced damage regeneration under persistent inflammation, calling attention administration during pregnancy with probable clinical implications offspring.

Abstract Sleep deprivation (SD) is observed to adversely affect the reproductive health of women. However, its precise physiological mechanisms remain largely elusive. In this study, using a mouse model SD, it demonstrated that SD induces depletion ovarian primordial follicles, phenomenon not attributed immune‐mediated attacks or sympathetic nervous system activation. Rather, excessive secretion stress hormones, namely norepinephrine (NE) and epinephrine (E), by overactive adrenal glands, has emerged as key mediator. The communication pathway mediated KIT ligand (KITL)‐KIT between granulosa cells oocytes plays pivotal role in follicle heightened levels NE/E stimulates activation KITL‐KIT/PI3K mTOR signaling cascade an β2 adrenergic receptor (ADRB2)‐dependent manner, thereby promoting consequent loss vivo. vitro experiments further corroborate these observations, revealing ADRB2 upregulates KITL expression via downstream cAMP/PKA pathway. Together, results reveal significant involvement follicles under sleep‐deprived conditions. Additionally, antagonists are proposed for treatment prevention induced SD.

Delirium is an acute, global cognitive disorder syndrome, also known as acute brain characterized by disturbance of attention and awareness fluctuation symptoms. Its incidence high among critically ill patients. Once patients develop delirium, it increases the risk unplanned extubation, prolongs hospital stay, nosocomial infection, post-intensive care syndrome-cognitive impairment, even death. Therefore, great importance to understand how delirium occurs reduce in This paper reviews potential pathophysiological mechanisms patients, with aim better understanding its processes, guiding formulation effective prevention treatment strategies, providing a basis for clinical medication.
