Since its emergence in late 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic has swept through many cities around world, claiming millions of lives and causing major socio-economic impacts. The occurred at an important historical juncture when smart solutions technologies have become ubiquitous cities. Against this background, review, we examine how city contributed to resilience by enhancing planning, absorption, recovery, adaptation abilities. For purpose, reviewed 147 studies that discussed issues related use during pandemic. results were synthesized under four themes, namely, planning preparation, adaptation. This review shows investment initiatives can enhance preparation ability. In addition, adoption can, among other things, capacity predict patterns, facilitate integrated timely response, minimize or postpone transmission virus, provide support overstretched sectors, supply chain disruption, ensure continuity basic services, offer for optimizing operations. These are promising demonstrate utility resilience. However, it should be noted realizing potential hinges on careful attention challenges privacy security, access open-source data, technological affordance, legal barriers, feasibility, citizen engagement. Despite this, further development unprecedented opportunities similar future events.

Abstract Introduction In order to fulfill the enormous potential of digital health in healthcare sector, must become an integrated part medical education. We aimed investigate which knowledge, skills and attitudes should be included a curriculum for students through scoping review Delphi method study. Methods conducted literature on relevant Key topics were split into three sub-categories: knowledge (facts, concepts, information), (ability carry out tasks) (ways thinking or feeling). Thereafter, we used modified where experts rated over two rounds based whether scale from 1 (strongly disagree) 5 agree). A predefined cut-off ≥4 was identify that critical include students. Results The resulted total 113 articles, with 65 extracted questionnaire. by 18 experts, all completed both questionnaire rounds. 40 (62%) across sub-categories met rating value ≥4. Conclusion An expert panel identified important within skills, taught. These can help guide educators development future curricula.

Abstract Background In recent years, healthcare systems have progressively adopted several technologies enhancing access to for older adults and support the delivery of efficient effective care this specific population. These include both assistive designed maintain or improve independence, social participation functionality people at home, as well health information technology developed manage long-term conditions. Examples such telehealth, wearable devices mobile health. However, despite great promise that holds promoting independent living among people, its actual implementation remains challenging. Methods This study aimed conduct an integrative systematic review research evidence on factors facilitate hinder adoption different types by individuals with chronic diseases. For purpose, four electronic databases (PsycArticles, Scopus, Web Science PubMed) were queried search indexed published studies. The methodological quality selected papers has been assessed using Mixed Appraisal Tool (MMAT). Results Twenty-nine articles selected, including 6.213 aged 60 older. studies synthesised considering technological interventions diseases, main barriers facilitators in acceptance. results revealed majority focused comorbid conditions utilisation telemedicine tools. Three-dimensional (3D) printing is an unrivaled technique that uses computer-aided design and programming to create 3D products by stacking materials on a substrate. Today, technology used in the whole drug development process, from preclinical research clinical trials frontline medical treatment. From 2009 2020, number of articles healthcare applications surged around 10 2000. has been applied several kinds delivery systems, such as oral controlled release micropills, microchips, implants, microneedles, rapid dissolving tablets, multiphase dosage forms. Compared with conventional manufacturing methods pharmaceutical products, many advantages, including high production rates due flexible operating systems loading desired precision accuracy for potent drugs administered small doses. The cost via can be decreased reducing material wastage, process adapted multiple classes pharmaceutically active ingredients, those poor solubility. Although studies have addressed benefits technology, hospitals pharmacies only implemented this practical applications. This article discusses recent medicinal preparation. also covers potential future pharmaceuticals.
