Abstract Background and Objectives Rice bran is a source of bioactive polyphenols. This study aimed to characterize the antidiabetic potential different rice brans (one brown, two red, purple) by examining their ability inhibit α‐amylase, α‐glucosidase, pancreatic lipase, stimulate glucose uptake in adipocytes. Findings All pigmented extracts significantly inhibited α‐glucosidase. Both red α‐amylase close 50% at highest dose tested. four lipase vitro (IC 50 values 4.38–10.09 mg/mL). The studied contained higher levels total polyphenolic content (TPC), flavonoid (TFC), antioxidant capacity when compared brown bran. Purple anthocyanins proanthocyanidins. consisted benzoic acids, while had cinnamic acids. Tricin was identified all brans. Conclusions Our indicates that have manage obesity diabetes due inhibitory effects on lipid carbohydrate digestion. Several polyphenols were identified. Significance Novelty confirmed.
