Lung cancer remains the primary cause of cancer-related mortality, with factors such as postoperative tumor recurrence, metastasis, and therapeutic drug resistance exacerbating patient outcomes. Immunotherapy has emerged a transformative approach, challenging conventional treatment paradigms for lung cancer. Consequently, advancing research in immunotherapy is imperative. Recent studies indicate that numerous regulators within microenvironment (TME) drive angiogenesis epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT); these processes are interdependent, reciprocal, collectively contribute to progression. Tumor not only supplies adequate oxygen nutrients cellular proliferation but also establishes pathways facilitating metastasis creating hypoxic regions foster resistance. Concurrently, EMT enhances metastatic potential reinforces drug-resistance genes cells, reciprocal relationship angiogenesis. This interplay ultimately results invasion, paper reviews key EMT, examining their impact on progression, investigates whether newly identified could influence treatment, thus offering valuable insights developing future strategies.

Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) has long been recognised for its rich antioxidant profile and potential health benefits. Recent research expanded therapeutic to include antiangiogenic properties, which are crucial inhibiting the growth of tumours other pathological conditions involving aberrant blood vessel formation. This review consolidates current findings on effects pomegranate extracts. We explore impact polyphenols, including ellagic acid, punicalagin, anthocyanins, punicic acid bioactive polysaccharides key angiogenesis-related pathways endothelial cell function. Emphasis is placed these extracts as phytocomplexes rather than isolated compounds. Additionally, we discuss use by-products, such peels seeds, in preparation within a green chemistry circular economy framework, highlighting their value enhancing extract efficacy sustainability. By primarily reviewing vitro vivo preclinical studies, assess how modulate angiogenesis across various disease models adjunctive therapies cancer angiogenesis-driven disorders. also identifies existing knowledge gaps proposes future directions fully elucidate clinical utility applications.

Lactoferrin (Lf) is a positively charged iron-binding glycoprotein that has piqued the scientific community's interest due to its pleiotropic behavior, exhibiting wide range of biological activities, including antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and anticancer effects. This narrative review explores current understanding Lf's role in cancer, focusing on endogenously expressed human full-length ΔLf isoforms, effects treatment with exogenous bovine Lf. We evaluated compared mechanisms by which Lf influences tumorigenesis cancer progression, impact key processes such as cell growth, apoptosis, angiogenesis, migration, invasiveness. Notably, action show some divergences, presumably slight structural differences may lead opposing Insights from this comparison help identify new variants enhanced activity. Indeed, both showed substantial activity, prompting researchers investigate their potential utility prevention progression. However, studies have indicated high levels expression be linked increased carcinogenesis metastasis, reflecting intricate context-dependent cancer. Thus, we emphasize need for deeper comprehension biology regulation enhance more targeted therapeutic strategies, encouraging further research area.
