Purpose Developing and maintaining green innovation (GI) environmental performance (EP) has become a significant challenge for every organization. The present paper attempts to confirm the contributions of technology leadership (TL) HRM (GHRM) work engagement (GWE), GI EP. study also recognizes GWE’s contribution connecting TL, GHRM, Design/methodology/approach applies deductive approach where data are gathered through questionnaires from employees manufacturing firms in Egypt. Consequently, utilizes 312 cases draw its conclusions. Findings With regard analysis, researcher used path analysis AMOS established positive effect TL on EP but negative GWE. GHRM been confirmed predict GWE, positively. Furthermore, GWE positively influences among indirect paths establish developing links between EP, On other hand, it negatively affects link GI. Practical implications assists employers setting goals their by offering required knowledge, skills training management. benefits employees’ workplace behaviors appraisals promotions. Originality/value study’s originality overcoming remaining gaps literature enriching penetration context.
