Algeria's recent economic shifts have caused its macroeconomic data to exhibit an abnormal distribution, requiring a nonlinear approach examine the asymmetric impact of technological innovation (TI), fossil fuel energy (FFE), and renewable (RE) on CO2 emissions. This study employs autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) model analyze these factors Furthermore, Quantile Autoregressive Distributed Lag (QARDL) Granger Causality (QGC) approaches are employed for robustness checks. The NARDL results indicate that positive shocks in TI decrease emissions, whereas negative increase Positive RE also while no effect. In contrast, FFE but even stronger effect, resulting almost double emissions over time. These findings confirm presence asymmetry, as regressors clearly influence Algeria. Moreover, from causality analysis TI, RE, causal effect consistent with QARDL QGC approaches. Therefore, it is crucial Algeria prioritize investment sustainable technology implement carbon-neutral policies reduce reliance encourage use cleaner sources. shift towards green sector requires policymakers ensure aligns development objectives.

Published: Feb. 12, 2025

ABSTRACT Understanding the complex connections between land utilization, economic activity, technological development, and carbon emissions will be essential as world struggles to address climate change resulting environmental problems. For empirical analysis, we have used pooled mean group (PMG) Method of Moment Quantile Regression (MMQR) precisely capture details these relationships across various quantiles. The study uses a balanced panel dataset from 1980 2019 that includes 10 emerging nations which are common in G20 Organization for Economic Cooperation Development (OECD), including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, States, China. discovers an Kuznets curve with inverted U form, highlighting link development degradation countries. also clarifies how internet use, foreign direct investment, renewable energy (REN) affect consequences at different Moreover, findings confirm adverse impact emission, FDI, REN on degradation. implications sustainable policy, necessity customized approaches distinct contexts levels every nation.

Physical activity helps manage weight and stay healthy. It becomes more critical during a pandemic since outside activities are restricted. Using tiny wearable sensors cutting-edge machine intelligence to track physical can help fight obesity. This study introduces learning sensor methods activity. Abstract This study examines the intensifying threat to public health caused by increased CO 2 emissions from energy and modern urbanization. In this connection, we focused on SAARC countries 1990 2022. The explores dynamic association among urbanization, emissions, renewable energy, key indicators, namely life expectancy infant mortality. It offers nuanced insights highlighting requirement for sustainable policies meet challenges associated with urban development in economies. To achieve objectives, authors utilized panel auto regressive distributed lag assessing short‐term long‐run effects, method of moments quantile regressions check these effects across different quantiles. empirical results underscore positive impact GDP, industrialization expectancy. Conversely, exhibit a detrimental expectancy, leading towards numerous diseases both short long term. Notably, case mortality, discloses that negatively affect while CO2 positively mortality scenarios. Fully modified ordinary least squares further fortified our findings, supporting derived regressions. study's policy implications highlight imperative governments policymakers prioritize mitigating adverse non‐renewable sources. findings endorse strategic shift sources, positioning them as substitutes conventional forms such fossil fuels. Additionally, emphasis is planned facilitating improved access facilities overall health.
